Trust 17805 Xstream Breeze Cooling Pad, 2 Fans, Fits 15-16 Inches Laptops

Smaller than expected but fits and cools my notebook perfectly, even when resting on my lap.

Not good
I bought 2 of these. Looks nice but works bad, the as the fans spin the blades break, they hit on the grill bit and make a hell of a noise.First a couple of the fins broke off the fans then the remainder kept hitting the grill and broke couple of those bits off, then the remainder of the fins hit onto what was left of the grill so I cut them all off, then the fins were hitting a raised bit under the fan and broke.I ended up removing both fans and replacing one with a fan from an old laptop and cutting the wires to the other bit to make it safe. I’m a single unemployed parent of 4, I can’t afford to replace I have to fix and adapt!

Poor Build Quality
After receiving 2 different units, they both experienced the same issues. There seems to be an issue with the fans they don’t work, or stop working after 5 min. Changing the USB port does not resolve the issue.The build quality is also very poor, the plastic is thin and flimsy. The design is good as it fits nicely on the laptop and the kickstand is at a nice height for working on, shame that the build quality doesn’t live up to the product.

This cooling pad is a lot better than the belkin single fan cooling pad
The fan fits my laptop perfectly and I dont notice the noise of the fan even when there is no other noises in the room. This cooling pad is a lot better than the belkin single fan cooling pad.

Wenn man in heißen Gefilden lebt (Griechenland) ist so ein Ding sehr nützlich.Es kühlt genug und der Laptop läuft gut und ruhig. Der Geräuschpegel ist niedrig, manchmal hört man ein kleines Rauschen, manchmal, gerade bei größerer Hitze ist es lauter.Leider ist es kleiner als mein Laptop und umfasst nicht den ganzen Boden.Wie auch immer, seine Arbeit tut es mehr als gut.

Allora, il dato di fatto è che sono soddisfattissimo dell’acquisto….MA OCCORRE FARE UNA PRECISAZIONE:io non cercavo una base per tenere a temperature accettabili il mio Notebook… ma cercavo qualcosa che mantenesse bassa la temperatura del mio modem NETGEAR Nighthawk D7000… sebbene siano dispositivi in grado di lavorare in maniera ottimale autonomamente, ritengo che a prezzi accettabili, sia lecito ed opportuno metterli nelle migliori condizioni di lavoro. Quindi cercavo una base con ventole che non costasse troppo, e che non avesse dimensioni esagerate, in quanto il modem è posizionato in un supporto costruito su misura personalmente.E questa base è quella che si avvicinava di più a queste caratteristiche. Misure ridotte, prezzo (11 euro, non trovi nulla a meno di prodotti similari) assolutamente accessibile.La cosa che mi preme segnalare, è che LE MISURE INDICATE NELLA DESCRIZIONE NON CORRISPONDONO ALLA REALTA’: è questa non è una cosa positiva, perchè chi compra è giusto che sappia con precisione cosa sta acquistando:le indicazioni parlano di una base che misura cm 32.5 x cm 25,5. invece in realtà, e le foto allegate lo dimostrano, l’articolo misura cm 30 x cm 23. A me è andata benissimo così, perchè sono le misure ideali per ciò per cui l’ho acquistato, infatti con le misure indicate nella pagina di vendita avrei dovuto in qualche modo accorciarlo per farlo entrare nel mobile, invece con le reali misure ci è entrato perfettamente. Ma ripeto, le misure indicate non sono esatte, e questo è un neo non trascurabile.La base funziona perfettamente: ASPIRA (particolare importante, ASPIRA, NON IL CONTRARIO…) l’aria dal modem e la espelle dai lati ed il modem è sempre freddo, come se fosse spento, e questo va sicuramente a vantaggio delle sue prestazioni, quindi, per quanto mi riguarda, era quello che cercavo.Occorre dire che non è proprio silenzioso: non è rumoroso ne fastidioso, ma comunque si sente se è in funzione…Ora se lo immagino come base per un notebook, bè li ho i miei dubbi, le misure sono talmente ristrette che non lo trovo, dal punto di vista della solidità e della stabilità, molto affidabile…Magari va bene per un 14 pollici, ma per uno più grande no, non lo acquisterei, anche se ripeto, il sistema di ventilazione funziona ed effettivamente mantiene le temperature molto basse. Potrebbe essere ideale nel caso in cui per lavoro o per altri motivi si viaggia o si sta fuori casa, e quindi le misure ristrette fanno comodo, ma in un contesto casalingo, ho miei dubbi che sia così funzionale.Ma il consiglio che do senza remore, è che se avete intenzione di non far soffrire per le temperature il modem, o un altro dispositivo similare di piccole dimensioni, QUESTA BASE E’ L’IDEALE.Ora ovviamente non posso dare giudizi sulla durata, questo solo il tempo potrà dirlo, ma alla fine ho speso 11 euro per far lavorare in maniera ottimale il modem. E credo che investire 11 euro per mettere nelle migliori condizioni di lavoro un dispositivo che ne costa 160 o anche di più, credo che abbia una sua logica.Spero di aver fornito indicazioni utili a chi aveva intenzione di acquistarlo.
