SO easy to install
Got these to replace Tapo bulbs I ordered previously, which would not link with any app, including the Tapo app. These work either the Smart Life app, which found the bulb immediately and it was working within seconds. Alexa picked the bulb up automatically. They have many colours and are also dimmable.

Just as good as expensive branded versions
Absolutely brilliant, easy to set up with its own app, compatible with Alexa and understands 123 different colour names such as salmon, olive, dark violet etc which is great if you can remember your favourites, also you can use brightness from 1-100 so you can choose how much energy you use if you don’t need a super bright light i.e when it is getting dark outside and inside you can use a lower setting to brighten the room whilst still partially relying on low outdoor light. Lots of other options and settings but what a bargain. Very bright if you use 100% white light almost blinding! Expensive feeling piece of kit for low cost. Friends and family are always impressed with voice activated lighting and when I tell them its just the amazon Alexa and £16 for 2 energy saving bulbs it just seems mad spending a load of money on Philips hue and other similar products especially on multiple rooms and light fittings.

One of the bulbs wasnât working
One out of the 2 pack of bulbs wasnât working. One is working great and set up first time easily. The second didnât work in either of 2 light fittings I tried

Dazzling
We have a fair number of IoT devices but, so far, no lights. We have no need for flashing RGB stuff, and we don’t want to be light-less when the internet goes down, so it’s taken a while to have a need for one of these. That happened the other day when our last incandescent blew in the bedroom, and the only spare was a stupidly blue 6K LED job. Maybe a programmable one would be better…
Yes, it is. Massively. You can set the blue-ness (or lack thereof) and brightness. Colour is still there if you have to party, and you can do the usual stull like timers and Alexa integration (“when the doorbell is pressed flash the light”), etc. What’s not to like.
Well, one thing not to like is the problem of the physical switch. Does it have to be on all the time or will the bulb still work like a normal bulb, or do you have to replace the switch for a smart one too? I’m happy to report that you don’t need to worry about this: turn the switch off and the thing is dead with no power, then when you turn it on it remembers what it was before and just carries on. Of course, there is no remote control if it’s turned off, but it works again as soon as power is restored.
Regretting not getting some of these ages ago.
