The best smartphone tripod adapter yet!
The Neewer SP-02 smartphone adapter allows your smartphone (and small accessories such as an external mic. or video light) to be attached to any standard tripod head (either by screw or Arca-Swiss plate). I have used it with full size Manfrotto tripods, and small table-top models such as GorillaPod, Manfrotto PIXI or Zeadio and it is great! (Phone can be turned portrait or landscape without removing it from mount, USB cable can be plugged in if needed without interfering with mount, and it will hold ANY phone – I have tried phones upto 6.7in). All-metal construction, weight 155g.Much better than any cheap plastic smartphone holders you may have used before! So good I bought another!

Well machined and nice but of kit.
Really solid piece of kit. I had to attach it to my velbon plate so I could attach to the tripod but that was my fault for not reading the description properly.It really is a well machined piece of kit and I’m sure it will last a long time.

Sturdy and Manufactured with Precision
Having used several different tripods, I can confidently say that this stands out as a well made and versatile smartphone tripod holder with just enough heft ⦠Two key distinguishing pros of this device: It is all metal with finely crafted and solid feeling knurled adjustment knobs and screws into the metal bodyâ¦The smartphone clasp/clamp is not spring loaded as most others are. Over time tripods which are spring loaded ultimately fail the sturdiness test.That coupled with plastic ends of the most other clamps eventually cracking or breaking makes this a solid and durable choice.Some reviews have suggested that the depth of the clamp arms/ ends holding in the smartphone could have been made with more depth to firmly and securely hold most smartphones which would almost invariably be in phone cases.Although I can see that is a potential issue, my experience with using it with smartphone case on has been absolutely fine (so far)Overall I canât fault it â¦other than it being on the slightly expensive side.Its sturdiness, metal build and versatility is so good I purchased a second one!

Careful setting up of the clamp mechanism is recommended before use
Once the tensioners have been adjusted this holds the phone securely. Careful adjustment is required if using a tabletop tripod, always try and keep the weight of the phone over the centre of the tripod leg positions. Take the cover off the phone if you have fitted one before using

This is robust and engineered really well I like the design and it seems like such a simple device had extra thought put into its design. All the buttons, knobs work perfectly to either tighten my IPhone 15 Pro Max in any position I want. Finally, the Arca Swiss bottom lets you attach it to pretty much any tripod.I have several of these clamps Iâve collected over the years and this is the best one so far. Neewer is making some nice stuff now and it appears they have upped their quality standards. This piece is a nice example of that.If ya need such a clamp, this is honestly a fantastic choice. The heavy duty build should make it work with any phone on the market.Recommended.

This is a surprisingly precision piece. The hinge doesn’t have any play and feels really well made. Similarly, the rotating section has a very smooth feel with nice detents at 45 and 90 degrees. The locking knobs don’t even require a full turn to keep everything secure. The foot doesn’t fit my tripod, so I had to grind on it quite a bit, but that’s my tripod.
