I wouldn’t rely on this to be used in battery mode, 3600Mah is too low, otherwise good/performs
Ordered via vine.By now I have ordered/reviewed and bought many, many USB fans of varying design not to mention PC fans, this one is quite a large size desk fan, it uses an identical yet larger similar turbo velocity fan and brushless motor as the mini handheld super high-rpm fans which are incredibly loud and there are many of them – This is why the fan shape has much much depth than a full sized traditional 30cm+ AC power office fan, which is quieter and relies on its diameter for a wider air flow but shorter distance.Whereas this fan and those with the same ultra-high rpm turbo velocity unique fan blades, as you can see it’s depth is almost as large as the fan diameter, this makes them less efficient but enables them to use very high rpm for a more narrowly focussed high-pressure jet stream that travels further, in this case this fan claims to have a 15ft range on max mode 6, which I suspect is accurate, but at 15ft away you’re barely going to feel it, however I still think it can be pretty good as a medium sized desktop, USB or multipurpose portable fan.And this fan which I’d consider a desk fan in size has a much larger fan blade but uses the same exactly the same rear intake and brushless high-rpm mechanism. Also this is only 5V/2A, I have got much much smaller USB fans that support more than 5V/2A which means they can run slightly faster when plugged in and will charge faster than they discharge. However, I don’t really rate the battery in this device, 9 hours on mode 1 of 6 means on mode 6, these are less efficient by design and I’d be surprised if you even get an hour on the highest mode 6. Being this turbo velocity unique fan blade and brushless motor design, it is able to be more powerful producing higher and narrow pressure but also at the cost of efficiency and thus also noise in decibels. So even on a full charge, I would rate this highly as a portable fan, not unless you intend to carry the USB charging cable along with it, as many people will not be satisfied with power mode 1 of 6, and if you really want to utilise the maximum cooling potential, the 3600Mah battery is not going to last you a day shift at work not unless you keep it in mode 1 of 6 or better yet, I’d use my own longer USB cable and keep it plugged in.As stated, these type of fans (notice the long depth) are louder than traditional fans at the same size, at the same RPM, and are louder than much larger basic AC powered large office fans, thats because to create the high pressure the airbflow is compressed into a higher pressure jet stream and also the intake has to be well protected with very small holes which also adds to the resistance/noise but it’s necessary. As this has high rpm specially designed high pressure fan blades, I didnt count them properly but there’s around 10 blades with a specific shape which at high rpm must be fully protected to prevent injury, which they are.I know a bit about fan blade design, static pressure and shape as i’ve ordered and tested countless varying designs that serve different purposes inside my PC or even outside of it.I personally am not bothered with the noise at maximim mode 6 I think they’ve done a good job of balancing the power with maximum decibels. Because by design it is louder than typical fan designs and I’d personally be using this closer to the higher of the 1-6 power modes, so this is not a quiet fan for it’s size, traditional fans of equal RPM and diamter would be quieter. Whether nor the loudness at maximim mode 6 RPM is bothersome to others wil be subjective and depend on the consumer, the environment and application. But I think even at maximum mode 6, the fan is spinning at quite high rpm but the overall noise in decibels I don’t think is excessive. But you can obviously get traditionally designed fans of the same size and power than will be closer to silent, I still don’t think users will have an issue with this, as even on mode 3 it’s relatively powerful and quite and you can adjust as and when desired. Its just not one of those near silent fans so at max power, it might be a bit much for sleeping.I sleep with a ceiling fan on anyway and in a noisy environment, but generally I think the noise levels are OK.In fact I would have been happy if it hadeven higher rpm modes, power and noise, but they have chosen an MAX RPM that should be acceptable and not a nuisance, but by its fundamental turo intake velocity fan and brushless motor, this is not a quiet or near silent fan compatively speaking. You can get fans much larger yet quieter than this with tradition motor and fan blade designs. But with it’s larger diameter is can produce effective cooling for it’s size at lower RPM and generally acceptable volume I think.Similarly, they have done a fantastic job on making this fan look high quality and with some stylish design, with a solid gimbal-like 360 degree adjustment, being a larger fan they have gone for the sub £25 price tag and market, so the 3600Mah battery is up to 9 hours of use but on setting 1 out of 6 and I think you should not buy this if you intend to rely on it’s wireless battery life whilst being able utilise the higher of the 1-6 speed modes.By comparison one of the very good but smaller typical 4 fin fans bade USB fans I have, it has a 20,000 Mah battery 5V/5A charging and produces slightly less power to this on maximim, with 180 degrees oscillation, an LED light and despite being half the diameter, it is absolutely silent on maximum power and will run for 8 hour plus on a full 20,000 Mah charge. So there was certainly room for a much larger battery within the base, but even 20,000 Mah would have increased costs added a small amountof weight, but the inefficiency of these turbo velocity brushless high rpm/pressure motors would have discharged a larger battery much faster than any tradtion fan blade design with RPMand diamter being equal. So I would not recommend being this if you do intend to rely on it having a long durarion battery, for portability. Not unless you are prepared to carry a charging cable/plug source with you or whever you intend to take it, I think you’d find the duration on max speed very unsatisfactory and it’s almost pointless having it at all if you cannot get 1hr usage on modes 4-6.There is so much variation between USB desk or handheld or other types of fans that I can’t make any direct comparison short of shopping for those with identical design, it would not surprise me if there were many fans like these rebranded from other generic retailers. But I have reviewed many, many fans like this and some similar but all USB fans.So actually, the main limitation here in terms of power, since it uses the very same super-high rpm turbo velocity intake brushless motors, is that on maximim level 6/6, although it could go much higher rpm it would then begin to become louder than many would might find desirable or appealing. So this fan blade and motor is exactly the same as found in the ultra-high rpm but super loud handheld also lithium rechargables, it’s capable of much higher power and speed but they have set the max RPM on level 6 so a reasonably acceptble level, using a larger diameter means they can achieve some good airflow and pressure at much lower RRM.If this fan had more power, either via USB or AC to DC (Which would be less convenient and versatile), the fan intake, motor and turbo velocity mechanism itself is a much larger replica of those turbo-fans that are inch 2″ diameter yet over 15,000 RPM 9m/second and also despite their much smaller size have a 4000 Mah Battery, I still have on of these. So I do wonder they they did not quite easily impement a much largwe 20.000 Mah battery as there is plenty of space for it. Then it might have made this reasonably useful and effective as a portable rechargeable fan, 3600 MaH is just too low. But the added weight, whilst not being a huge amount would have required a complete redesign to house it somewhere within the base. And it would have made this more difficult to apply to a wall using the single supplied double sided hook attachmentSo this uses exactly that same fan/intake and turbo velocity design, and if you did give this more power and RPM , withs much larger fan/motor diameter is has the potential to be the same 15,000 rpm, but at that speed it would be so loud and do incredibly powerful, despite the 4x syth rubber feet it would be blowing itself backwards and with a very loud and high pitched decibels. Not to mention you’d need a much higher power supply/cable. But it would have been good (whilst plugged in) as a heavy duty medium sized fan if not for the decibels it would create. So it’s interesting to see this same turbo velocity super-high rpm brushless motor implemented into a larger desk or multi use medium sized USB fan, where they have had to compromise on power because any faster than maximim speed 6/6 would very quickly begin to become annoyingly loud to many users, similar the protective intake grille is necessary for safety but contributes to – I personally would have been fine with it and I think the noise even at mode 6 is acceptable, obviously this is not a high-end bladeless it silent fan design but it’s not too loud either in my opinion.Unlike traditional single fan motors, these turbo velocity fans can reach super-high rpm but at the cost of noise and efficiency, which on a smaller handheld you might appreciate. For a fan on this size, notice the rear intake cover which isn’t just to block dust or other debris, all of these have it because if you were to accidentally touch such a high-rpm turbo velocity 10-bladed (approx) fan designed for maximum pressure, it would hurt far more than a typical 30cm+ AC plug desk/office fan with sharp optimised blades. That is why the intake “mesh” is so fine and potected.I have no concerns of the product safety, they have made an effort by publishing the various safety certification standards on the listing itself. As a medium sized, moderately powerful fan with good range, the RPM is not stated and being larger is doesn’t need to be anywhere near as high as 15,000rpm+ on their smaller replica handheld countereven though the brushless motor can handle it, I would have loved to see this at maximum power where volume isnt a concern, but genernally most wouldnt. It doesn’t oscilate but has 360 degree pan/tilt and also various timer modes with an LCD touch screen, the operation is similarly fully controlled by two buttons only the ON/OFF for 1-6 speed mods and the H button for timers.Overall I think this can be a pretty versatile and useful medium sized fan, it’s the first one I’ve seen that uses this turbo veolicty high rpm/pressure intake design, but it means that as close distances the output is reasonable on lower speeds and the fan blades and extra depth are designed for a much greater and longer distance of air flow.I can’t quite validate how this is illustrated within the listing images where it seems to suggest that it creates a long beam of airflow, that somehow returns back to the same direction, or at least the arrows seem to be indicating that. But I can definitely say the unique and atypical design is capable of a more narrow yet much further reaching airflow with a claimed 15ft. It may even use a velocity stack to increase turbulance on the intake design to achieve this, but without taking it apart and not being specified I can’t be sure.My main issue with this is that 9 hours at mode 1, and with no RPMs stated at each mode, it’s not even possible to accurately estimate the 3600Mah battery duration on mode 6 max RPM, but I can confidently say this will be signifcantly lower, I’d be surprised if it can manage even 1-2 hours on mode 6.Being a primary feature of this fan including portability, this is not a fan I’c recommend if you epect many hours of use on a single charge. And I owned and have reviewed fans half the size and weight of this that do include a 20,000 Mah very long lasting battery even at highest RPM.So I personally intend to keep this plugged in anyway, it’s 5V/2A which is typical but again I have some cheaper smaller fans that have higher charge input, with similar airflow. But this is a much larger medium sized fan and far more versatile because of it.A 20,000 Mah battery would have given this some usable duration on battery power alone, but then I would expect this to be more expensive, as for £22 not including a voucher, the quality, style and design is very premium for a fan of its size and price. So I would say the 3600Mah battery is too low, such that it is not worth buying this to use it for any prolonged periods, or you’ll likely be disappoointed. The operation is simply controlled by the two touch buttons with an LCD screen with timers and indicators, very simply and intuitive. It’s actually very premium looking for the price, and the quality and contruction is fantastic, I can’t fault the appearance, it looks like £23 fan anyway. They have also tried to make this an easily portable and lightweight fan, which it is but as stated, I would be carring either the supllied cable or my own 2M cable wherever I decided to use this, I might put it in the car.I have a fan cheaper than this, around 50% smaller which is silent on max RPM, it has a higher USB power intake and a 20,000 Mah battery integrated into the base. But I would consider it a “Mini” desk fan and it uses a traditionan single fan with 5 blades, very much more efficient, and near silent such that when plugged in via USB it actually is designed to increase in output power by 5-10%, plus you can run it at maximum gear/RPM for easily 8 hours+ on it’s 20,000 Mah battery alone, it’s also much lighter than this one, although this one is not heavy considering its 2x 3x the diameter. At 5V/2A I have not tested whether this charges faster than it discharges whilst plugged in via USB, I would be very surprised if it did not.But I do think it will take some time to recharge whilst in use and plugged in, especially on the higher modes/gears and compared with tradional fan designs anyway that quite easily charge higher than 5V/2A and easily higher than the discharge rate, which is something to consider if you intend to use this for prolonged periods and plugged it.For the semi-portable, multi-use either static, put on any surface, or you could quite easily attach the base to a wall or surface if you wanted as a permanent fixture, as the retailer demonstrate in the images with the included double sided plug/hook. Whether or not this alone is strong enough to hold it on a wall I haven’t tested, and will depend on the wall/surface but I would be surprised if this single suppled no drill double sided wall hook was not strong enough. So if you wanted it in some fixed position on walls etc there is no screw wall mounting kit, but personally I wouldnt have any problem simply using a few strips of my own double sided Nano tape. Or similarly with my strongest VHB 3M acrylic foam tape I could quite easy make my own DIY wall attachment application that isn’t going to fall off, if the single suppled hook is not enough. As such, I would have to keep it plugged in via a long enough USB cable because as stated the battery on ths simply isnt large enough. But with the 360 degrees rotation and relatively light weight base with large surface area does allow for it, which could be useful in bedrooms or various fixed locations.Overall I think they’ve done a very good job for it’s medium size, it’s unique high rpm/pressure brushless motor and output offers a good selection of power and speed on all 1 to 6 modes. It’s visually quite an attractive looking unit for the low cost, and it’s atypical large depth motor/fan design is capable od producing quite a lot of power and distance, it could have had a much higher rpm and input power, but at maximum mode 6, it’s not a silent fan design but it’s 1-6 modes offer eough adjustability and the maximum noise decibels I don’t think is going to be too loud or an issue for many people, bearing in mind you may not need it on max RPM much of the time.I’ll give it 4/5 stars, but just note again that I think the 3600Mah battery is such low capacity and low duration on mode 6 such that I would not buy this if you are buying it for it’s wireless battery duration, as it is not long or high by any means even at this price. But it seems more R&D has gone into functionality, style and appearance rather than being a true lithium ion rechargeable portable medium sized fan that offers hours of duration where you can actually use rely on the battery alone beyond the lowest power mode 1 of 6,

    Pretty good
I picked up the HONEYYEAR Desk Fan with Battery Operated to tackle the heat in my bedroom, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my home. The 360° rotation is a standout feature— I can angle it just right to cool me down while working at my desk or reading in bed, and the quiet digital display makes it easy to switch between the six speeds without fumbling around. The battery operation is a game-changer; I charged it fully in about six hours, and it’s lasted me through a whole evening on medium speed, perfect for using outdoors on the patio too. The airflow feels strong for such a compact fan, and it’s impressively quiet, even on the higher settings, which helps me sleep without any disturbance. I’ve used it in the kitchen as well, and it circulates air nicely without taking up much space. The only slight downside is that the battery life doesn’t quite hit the advertised maximum on the highest speed—it dips a bit after about four hours instead of six—but that’s manageable with a quick recharge via USB. The build feels sturdy, and the portability means I can move it from room to room without hassle. For the price, it’s an absolute bargain, and I’ve already told my friend about it for her camping trips. Highly recommend it for anyone needing a versatile, quiet fan!

An improvement on my old fan
I have to be honest and say that I wasn’t expecting too much of the Honeyyear desk fan. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it’s a vast improvement on what I have in my office at the moment. The fan is fairly big. You can adjust the airflow in a vertical plane, you could only adjust the horizontal angle if the unit isn’t wall mounted (for which you are provided with a small bracket. The product description says it’s bladeless; well, slight lie there, the blades are behind the front touchscreen panel so not where you might be poking your fingers accidentally. The air that is pushed through does reach a fair way at maximum speed and definitely will suit the area in my office, a bigger room would lose the benefit unless it’s placed nearby. Noise level is acceptable but it’s not that quiet. There is no memory function, if you turn it off at speed 6 it does start again at 1 when you switch it back on, no big deal. Easy to change the speed on the touchscreen, the timer can be set there also.I’ll likely have the fan permanently powered into a USB port but it is rechargeable should you not have a power source nearby.

Decent fan but the display is clearly just a gimmick rather than something that is useful.
It’s okay as a fan, but the two issues I have with it is that it is very loud for something that is supposed to sit quite close to you, and the screen is heavily under-utilised. The screen literally only displays the power setting it is set to, as well as a timer for when the fan turns off. It shows a small indicator for when the fan is charging, but there is no way of knowing how much charge is left, or how long that charge will last. The middle display is huge, so it’s a massive shame they it isn’t utilised to show battery level, or things like the current time/date. The build quality of it seems okay. Another thing I didn’t like is that the USB cable it comes with is extremely short. USB cables are really not that cheap, it surely can’t cost that much more to include a longer cable so that the fan doesn’t have to sit directly next to a USB port if you want to use it while charging.
