Good design, but not as lightweight as I’d hoped. I was hoping to replace a heavy tripod head with a ball-n-socket combined with this locking plate (for a compact camera). The weight reduction was not as high as I’d hoped. Still, I guess you get what you pay for.

Great Product but it will not fit other identicle looking brands.
The clip itself is great, The fit is not 100% snug there’s a bit of play and also comes with a small lug screw.However, warning!! These look identical to the ones Neewer used to sell, Ones that I still use after years.Sadly despite visually looking identical in terms of Locking Design, Shape, and color, they don’t actually fit the other clips due to the edge being a tiny bit too big which makes them completely incompatible with all my other identical-looking clips. It’s to be expected they would have fit but now I would have to rebuy all the clips.I am giving this a 2-star review because it should have rebranded the design not to fool anyone as they do not universally fit other identical-looking clips from other brands and there’s no telling if Andoer like Neewer will suddenly stop selling these clips and you’ll be stuck having to risk buying another brand only for them not to fit.

Great product for the price! Fantastic substitute for the “CineLock” system. While the cine lock is better machined, this is not for behind. I have been using the two I purchased for a year now without fail! As the Cinelock’s cost over 100 dollars, this is a no brainer for me!

Update 5/2020 for the last 6 months I’ve also added a Ninja V, and as well a 2nd Mini QR PLATE, if I missed it in my first review, the plate bolts on with a std 1/4-20 screw provided, it also has a small Allen screw to prevent it from sliding or moving. Also the slide lock is EXCELLENT. It locks OPEN so you can slide it in one handed, and NOT drop anything. Here also is where the Allan screws add tension, so once you flip the locking lever over, the monitor, Atomos Recorder doesn’t have any play in the fit! {See Photos, the set screw adds pressure again the QR plate itself!If you don’t know me, or my reviews, I try to focus on reviewing those things I find work the “best”, & have the “greatest” value. Some items used in film and photography, just can’t be bought cheaper,( or cheap versions), but I’ve found in 25 years, film+photog gear purchases, you DONT NEED to sacrifice fit + finish, build quality, or Materials, {this TRUE VALUE}, for an affordable option. Especially Today now more than ever!!!! In fact as a big DIY’r, I can name 15 items, I now can buy, cheaper and easier than building a DIY’r. Full cage rice to start, But Back to the best mini QR monitor setup I think is available right now!!As I’m writing I’ve forgotten but I believe I paid $15, for this QR SETUP, For a monitor.Well I add it to a small flexi arm w/ Rosetta geared joints, and an Atomos ninja dual battery recorder. ( Note in the last photo is a cinema monitor, 10 inch, I had it on that, but it’s too big on my Ronin M which I’m using aot now.A· Hold, at first it seems a bit easy going in, but once you slide the LInch pin over, it’s tight as can be.B· ease- easily, the most convenient affixed accessory on my gimbal, & studio rig really.C· value:. The metal, machining, fit and finish, are way above par for under $20, in fact I know I found this exact piece, from a high end retailer for $120. 100$ to have a well known logo??! This is where 10 items can save you 100’s$, really!D· Get 8t straight, Andoer , Neewer, etc distribute the same or minutely different offering from a parent company. One TT hat charges more for name’-. If you worry about the logos on your gear more than the quality, you should hang it up. Again SOME ITEMS YOU JUST NEED, and they are expensive. I’m not shopping RED SSDS, to save money,( although my God, $1500 but… Spend $40k on a Dragon Cinema Brain, money seemingly isn’t an issue)- note: I shoot red as a privilege from a partner in commercial work. My personal work, I’m skippin lunch to afford a scarlet x, or a new Komodo EVEN with early adopter red H1, discounts!BUT, Id use this on a red 1 any day of the week! ,

Product works ok and costs a fraction of the original quick releases but I’m finding that for obvious reasons. Of the couple I’ve purchased I’ve had loose fittings and tight fittings and on one of mine the lock gets stuck open sometimes and I needed to take it apart to put the parts back in order.I’d say if you aren’t putting expensive items on these then they’re actually fine and a great cheap alternative. Unfortunately their quality isn’t great and majority of users are putting very expensive accessories on these..
