Having messed around with various non-Shimano offerings I always come crawling back. Yes, theyâre a little pricier, but the performance is consistent, they donât make bad noises, and they last longer.

Great pads. Used with XT and SLX brakes, in all weather conditions. Tend to last about a year when used each weekend.

Great stopping power. Used for several seasons now. Come into their own in the wet and on steep or fast descents. This latest purchase was for a post-COVID weekend to the Alps. Performed well, including an emergency stop down the Col dâOrnon at speed.

Awesome sintered pads
Awesome sintered pads. The resin J02A were awful squeaky, even tho the lack of it was supposed to be their main selling point.These make no sound, as long as not contaminated, and even then much easier to rescue, as they don’t suck up oil like resin ones do.

A tad on the expensive side for what they are but direct replacement for my old pads and they work great loads of bite every time

In the past I have tried non-original pads only to find there about half as thick and last about a quarter of the time. These original pads are the dogs, they are powerful, last for ages and are just more superior.

£19 beats Chain Reactions on-offer price of £25 (usually £35).Keep the bolt and retaining clip you had originally as a split-pin is supplied in replacement. Easier to remove at the side of the trail is all.Remember, you might need to push the piston back upon fitting.
