No brainer.
Bought this because Dyson did not have a replacement battery & they cost £70.00. I have 5 dewalt batteries so made sense to buy this adaptor. Fitted & works fine.

Wish it was compatible with the OEM wall mount!
It’s a wicked product, something which I’ve been on the fence about for quite some time; seeing as my Dyson could no longer run on ‘max’ with its original battery.Dyson make good things but Li-ion batteries don’t last forever. At ~£65 for a genuine Dyson battery it’s like spending £1000 on a £3000 car to make it roadworthy… I.e. not going to happen.I’ve managed to find a nice little combi-drill deal a while ago which came with 2x 4Ah ProCore batteries and these things have let me vacuum the entire house, on max, without skipping a beat! 🎉I’m properly impressed and wish that there were some 3D printed designs for this sort of product. But £20 to get an otherwise perfect Dyson back up and running is a no-brainer. Here’s to a few more years of sucking 😂

Don’t waste your money.This started off great, easy to install and when I popped in a DeWalt battery it worked fine. The problem is after about 5 mins of use it stopped working. The Dyson flashed red lights, indicating a battery issue.I changed the battery to another DeWalt battery and it had the same issue.I wish love for this to have worked, and it seemed like it would at the start, but it just isn’t worth it as it didn’t live up to the hype

Easy to fit and a fantastic, great value solution.
So after just under 6 years of service, the battery on our otherwise fine, Dyson V7 packed up. One day it was fine, next it was flashing red light and no joy.Faced with either a very expensive replacement of the whole unit, a still expensive original battery, or a cheaper but possibly questionable 3rd party battery, decided to try this DeWalt battery adapter. My thoughts were that it was only £25, I have plenty of XR batteries already, and it means we have the ability to swap batteries in seconds rather than wait for a recharge.Turns out the positive reviews are well deserved.It was very easy to fit. Probably 2-3 mins work with a small screwdriver – 3 screws and you are done.The adapter matches the colour of the V7 perfectly and you can now use any VR battery you like.Best of all, it means you can you turbo mode with a power head attachment without worrying about the battery dying in the normal 5-ish minutes because you can just swap in a new one in seconds.Personally my wife likes to alternate a pair of smaller, lighter 2ah batteries to keep the weight down. I like to use the massive 8ah battery from my DeWalt SDS drill and know it’s not going to run out before any hoovering job is done.Frankly this thing is brilliant and I wish I had tried one before the original battery died. It’s now got me thinking about what else I can run using DeWalt power tool batteries.Excellent.

This was an absolute game changer. When I was using my Dyson with the original battery and adapter, I couldn’t even get through my whole house with one full charge, and my house is really small. Having this adapter allows us to use the DeWalt batteries that can get us through a few full vacuum sessions, and we have multiple backup batteries so we can switch them out easily and continue our cleaning.
