It works, it’s fine.
It works fine so far as I can tell. I have tried most features. It’s not costly so you can’t expect the same quality of a Fluke tester but I use it professionally a lot and it does the job.

cheap analogue/digital toner/mod tap
Excellent for 1 man continuity testing. Good for analogue/digital toning but the Amplifier would not pick up a Fluke tone(analogue) or a Tempo toner(analogue) whereas the Tempo Amp will pick up both a Fluke tone and this Kolsol toner(analogue). Length measuring gave the exact same measurement for all 4 pairs which is incorrect as the 4 pairs on data cable have differing twists and are therefor different lengths. Also my machine would not tell me the measurement in metres/foot to the break in the cable. I cut 7 of the 8 cables and it still showed all 4 pairs at the original length. But what do you expect for £50 from China !!!!!

Wow what a great little tool!
Was networking a property and wanted a kit to check the connectivity. This was a great little tool for checking and super alternative to expensive FLUKE products. Recommend!

Unreliable
Basic and unreliable results on scan and cable lengths had to resort to following cables by sight to find where they went. Not worth the money at all. Avoid!

Cheap product
Item is faulty and the seller would not acknowledge this. Extremely dissapointed with the product. Cheap and would avoid at all cost.

Very happy with this. I have another simple tester that only told me there was a problem but not what problem or where. After changing countless cable ends Instill had a problem and invested in this. It immediately showed a broken pair at 46m into a 100m cable. I ran a new cable and problem solved. Had I had this when I started it would have saved me hours of work.I also used the feature to test the cable ends. Very useful to check your crimping.Highly recommended.

J’avais besoin de recâbler tout mon réseau et notamment quelle prise RJ45 correspond à quelle sortie à l’autre bout du câble.Avec ce kit vous avez tout le nécessaire pour travailler correctement :- un émetteur- un receveur- un remote pour tester la continuité des branchements- une trousse, un petit cable RJ45 et un RJ11- une pile 9V et 3 piles AAA LR03L’émetteur comporte 4 sortie RJ45 :- cont- scan- length/flash- PoEVous avez besoin de vérifier que votre câblage est correctement effectué , vous branchez l’appareil et la remote et instantanément vous savez quel fil est correctement branché, si vous en avez croisé, si le contact ne se fait pas.Autre utilité vous pouvez vérifier la longueur d’un câble ethernet. Selon le mode d’emploi la mesure peut se faire entre 2.5m et 200m. Difficile de dire si la précision est au RDV mais cela donne déjà une bonne indication de la longueur de câble à retirer dans une gaine.Une fonction Flash permet notamment de vérifier comment se synchronise votre branchement : 10/100/1000 avec quel protocole : FDX pour full duplex ou HDX pour half duplex.Un plus vous pouvez faire lampe de poche avec l’émetteur ou le receveur et l’écran est rétro éclairé. Toujours utile dans la pénombre.Un regret le mode d’emploi est en anglais/allemand et trop succincte à mon goûtAu global un très bon kit qui malgré une notice un peu sommaire en anglais/allemand s’utilise de manière intuitive.

Ich habe dieses Produkt bestellt um ein Kabelproblem zu lösen. Die Beschreibung ist vermutlich schlecht aus dem Chinesischen übersetzt, zumindest ist die dt. Anleitung nicht wirklich verständlich. Wozu die 3 Geräte jetzt genau gut sind und wie man sie handhabt kann man der Anleitung nicht entnehmen, immerhin sind Sender (Bild 3, Mitte) und Empfänger (re.) relativ klar. Ich kann mir denken, was das Gerät links macht, wie es zu handhaben ist? Mag sein, dass YT weiterhelfen kann…Am Ende des Tages hat mir dieses Gerät nicht mehr sagen können als der Switch selbst, Kurzschluss Leitung 3 zu Ground, aber nicht wo, in welcher Entfernung; habe auf gut Glück den Stecker neu gecrimpt und das war die Lösung.Fazit: für knappe 70⬠erwartet man eine Anleitung oder einen Link zur Produktinformation, mit der man auch was anfangen kann. Basischecks kann man/ich auch mit einem Switch machen.Schicke ich wieder zurück.
