Does what it says on the tin. Only criticism would be the cage nuts fell out of the racking holes a couple of times but that’s probably down to our cabinet.

Great strong shelf!
I bought this as I know Startech is a decent brand with products that will last for years.It was cheaper than alternatives and I knew it was a 2U shelf I wanted, but it seems very few people make 2U shelves at the shorter depth for a comms cab – especially at the price I wanted to pay! I’m pleased to say with some careful angle grinding/cutting I was able to get the perfect fitment and am very pleased. I’ve lost some rigidity by cutting off the rear folded edge, however for what I’m putting on it (router and small switch) it will be perfect.

Important: They’re 2+1/3U not 2U
These are hopeless if you’re using them with anything else in your rack. That applies even if you’re using them together in the rack. The issue is that the shelf base is not square with the mounts at either side. There is an overhang (underhang?) on the shelves as you can see on the right of the photo. My existing 3U shelf is square and can be seen on the left of the picture. Because of this overhang you cannot put these with something directly below them.I could have wasted 1/3 of a U (a rack hole) and spaced them out that way. That would work but would be a terrible waste of space. Especially given my moving to 2U shelves to fit more into my rack. I tried getting two of them to sit one above each other to no avail. I spent 30 minutes thinking I was doing something wrong. That was until I looked online and saw other people had the same issue. I only ordered these because they were available next day. Now I have to return them and order new ones from the manufacturer I normally use, Penn Elecom. They’re cheaper and also available on Amazon but with a lot longer lead time.If you can afford to lose 1/3 of a U soacing them out then I’d imagine they’re fine. I can’t do that so back they go.

Well finished product will all the fixtures required. Bolts arrive with washers integrated to save time. Solid feel and good depth of finish.

Quality shelf
The shelf is of good quality construction, made of a fairly thick and heavy metal. I purchased a couple of them and am using them in an AV setup with one carrying the AV Receiver.

Perfect, I couldn’t find the right mount for my new server in the office and bought one of these instead, its great, fits perfectly, comes with everything you need and makes the server cage look tidy!

Como siempre, los productos de StarTech los mejores en cuanto accesorios para racks e incluso racks. Viene con todos los tornillos necesarios para la intalñación, un pequeño detalle pero que marca la diferencia.En cuanto a la calidad, parece que soporta más peso del que ponen, yo lo he comprado para que una caja de mineria tenga algún punto de apoyo por la parte de atras y no unicamente estuviera sujeta por el frontal ya que no querÃa poner railes. La badeja despues de apoyar todo el peso no ha cedido practicamente nada.

Der Fachboden macht genau das, was er soll â und das in guter Qualität. Die Verarbeitung ist sauber, das Material wirkt stabil, und die Montage war unkompliziert.Ich nutze ihn für ein kleines Rack-Setup, und er trägt das Gewicht problemlos. Die Belüftungsschlitze sind praktisch, damit sich keine Hitze staut. Für meinen Einsatzzweck â ein paar kleine Geräte ordentlich im Rack unterzubringen â ist er perfekt.Preislich vielleicht nicht der günstigste, aber die Qualität stimmt. Würde ihn wieder kaufen.
