An Excellent 5MP Multipurpose Document Camera
Hi Everyone,I received this USB document camera within 3 days of ordering it, so the delivery was fairly quick. I tested it thoroughly with the different modes that it supports in Microsoft Windows 11. It is plug-and-play for a quick and easy setup and no software installation is required. I have used it with the Windows Camera app, OBS, and Wondershare Filmora to record videos and took some pictures too. The video quality in good lighting is great and the pictures taken were crisp too.Just remember: Good lighting is of great essence :)The maximum resolution in photo mode is 5MP and the maximum video resolution is 1944p. The supported modes are given below:Video Modes:- 1080p 16:9 30FPS- 720p 16:9 30FPS- 1944p 4:3 30FPS- 1536p 4:3 30FPS- 600p 4:3 30FPS- 480p 4:3 30FPSPicture Modes:- 2.1MP 16:9 (1920×1080)- 0.9MP 16:9 (1280×720)- 5.0MP 4:3 (2590×1944)- 3.1MP 4:3 (2048×1536)- 0.5MP 4:3 (800×600)- 0.3MP 4:3 (640×480)Flicker Mode: 50Hz & 60HzThere is a mono microphone on the tip of the camera head which does the job, however, for better audio quality I would recommend using an external mic or a headset if you are recording or streaming online. For the price, it is a versatile document camera that can be used in different positions due to the flexible design of the stem connecting the camera to its base.It has a 3-stage brightness LED that comes in handy when you need it. Also, a 5-step brightness exposure control is given at the base along with autofocus and a left-to-right image shift button. The autofocus capability is present however, I would suggest using the dedicated button to make sure the picture is in focus, especially when the camera position or distance to the object is changed.The cable length from the USB plug to the base of the document camera is approximately 54 inches and the maximum height of the camera from the foot of the document camera when placed at the desk is 15 inches. It also comes with a USB to USB-C dongle so it could be used with modern laptop models as well as a PC.At this price, one cannot ask for more but from a product improvement point of view, I recommend a mechanism to stretch the height of the camera, as of right now it is limited to capturing A3 documents at 15 inches while placed on the desk. An Increase in height would allow capturing a bigger area i.e., A1 size, and sharing the whole desk possible.Hope it helps 🙂

Great addition to the classroom!
This is an excellent addition to my classroom! It makes sharing worksheets, textbook pages, children’s work, examples, so much easier than scanning or dowloading! It is quick and simple to use. The camera function is also an additional benefit, which allows a wider scope to be shown.The buttons on the visualiser make focussing in on documents really easy and the camera is bright enough for my classroom to be seen.The visualiser doesn’t take up much room and the neck allows it to be held in a variety of positions! A fantastic tool that I couldn’t be without now!!

Visualiser-tastic
This is a great little device to help my students to see my working out during tutoring sessions. The flexible and portable stand means it can be manouvered easily around the table. The light and the autofocus help the students see even my scribbley hand writing in full clarity! The camera function is really handy and allows me to capture my pencil workings for future use. A very handy, inexpensive device that can be easily stored due to its small size.

Works really well in a secondary classroom
Bought myself a visualiser during the first lockdown to give a little extra variation within teaching from home. It’s been a while and I thought I’d give myself a little upgrade.This visualiser has worked extremely well from the moment I plugged it in:* It’s easy to position and adjust.* Worked with plug and play into Windows 10 and with my MacBook (the inclusion of the USBC adapter was very well received).* The quick action focus and flip rotation buttons work extremely well too.The bonus for me was the touch sensitive light at the top. As light levels vary, not all Visualisers pick up the variation in light. The addition of the LED lighting with three levels of light has saved me on a number of occasions.Additionally: It has survived a whole term in a secondary classroom, where pupils have borrowed it for video based projects. It’s kept its ease to manipulate.It doesn’t work as a quality webcam, if you needed one in a pinch… perhaps… but the further the object is away the lower the quality. However, this isn’t what I use it for it’s just as a heads up.Have recommended it to colleagues, especially at this price point (£41.36 when I bought it) when the more expensive has not worked so well.

I started to plan to use this camera as a document scanner due to my office space. A scanner usually takes up space, and this USB document camera is pretty small and can be stored in the drawer in my office. It worked as it was planned. It scanned all my meeting handwriting and lecture notes as needed. By chance, I found this camera can also be used as a video research logger when the camera is facing me. It recorded my voice and my face and my document in accompaniment. I use a MacBook and QuickTime Player. Now I use it to log my work log daily and my work notes and related papers. It pretty much keeps track of what I do in daily work. I kept one day’s work organized in a daily folder and stored it in the folder. Good finding and make my work well organized.

E’ una webcam multifunzione più che uno scanner A3 simile ad altri prodotti sullo store. E’ decisamente di prezzo più contenuto e per questo si deve accettare la risoluzione massima di 5MP, non eccezionale ma adeguata alla fascia di prezzo.Dico webcam multifunzione perchè permette di avere:una luce per lavorare la sera oltre che illuminare gli oggetti da acquisire, la si attiva sul simbolo impronta digitale vicino all’ottiva, non proprio ovvio da trovareuna webcam da usarsi per videoconferenzeuna webcam per riprendere un foglio su cui scrivere e quindi utile da usarsi come lavagna per corsi o riunioniuno scanner quando usato per acquisire fogli etcE’ molto compatta e vedremo nel tempo se il braccio snodato rimane valido o meno.Cavo in dotazione di circa 1.70m (non so perchè questa misura) con adattatore da usbA ad usbC, avrei preferito arrivasse già con presa usbC e adattatore inverso.Sulla base di sostegno ci sono alcuni comandi: specchio dell’immagine, autofocus, luminosità dell’immagine da acquisire (subito avevo pensato che fosse per la luce del prodotto).Non ha nessun software.Per usarla si deve usare il software incluso con windows, nel mio caso windows10, ovvero l’app “Fotocamera”.Non ha quindi un software di acquisizione immagini e conversione OCR su pdf o simili, acquisisce delle foto e basta, serve poi un software per importarle in un pdf come testo.Questo permette però di poterla usare sempre senza problemi e non in abbinamento obbligatorio con un software proprietario.I video delle indicazioni non si trovano ma è semplicissima da configuare, basta attaccarlo ed attendere che windows carichi i driver in automatico, è vista come una webcam ed è una webcam.La flessibilità deriva dalle dimensioni e dalla comodità con cui si riesce a manipolare il braccio.Il costo diciamo è molto più basso di altre soluzioni più sofisticate sia per la maggiore semplicità che l’assenza di software.
