Great Drive. Just a Bit Large.

Im sorry DO NOT BUY this its too late for me now as i ordered this months ago while traveling .
yes its 10TB but it crashes several times its slow and it just keeps on breaking the folder struckture ive gone into some folders and it would say its empty i would reboot and then the data is back in the same folder trying to oragnise photos and videos from my trip and it takes forever . also im in ireland and whatever post they used meant i had to pay sometime like 60 euro more on tarrifs ….. so we know thats the hot topic of the workd right now and ive got loads of things from amazon that bypasses that . so its an extra 60 euro on the rpice avoid id buy 2 5TB hard drives for a bit more those things are great .

Drive showing errors BUT TERRIFIC TECH SUPPORT .. MT worth their weight in gold!
All powered up and appeared good … this worked well for a few hours so I bought another. But the first one failed … so I talked to MT Tech Support and the reason for 5 STAR REVIEW is that we all know occasionally you buy an item that has some manufacturing default … BUT VERY PATIENT GUY IN TECH SUPPORT WAS ON IT!!! (thanks particularly to Olaoluwa) When things let you down … this is what you need … great back up. Drive is going back but very impressive company … I’m refunding and will buy a bigger 4TB this time. My 2nd same drive is terrific.

The good and the bad
The good â¦. Arrived quickly. I ordered this Jan 25th and it was here within a day or two. Sadly I had to return it. My advice is to look carefully all the way down the advertisement on all products before purchase. I believe I got the full refund on the 5th of Feb after having returned it untouched the same day as receiving it. That might sound like a long time and, it felt like a long time, especially as I use Prime and usually do not purchase if it’s not prime but, I can honestly say, that the customer service and constant updates on progress when I asked how things were progressing was rather good.
The Bad â¦. Unless you run further down the page it appears in the pictures to be somewhat smaller that it actually is, it has also been pictured with a laptop with no power cable running to the hard drive which is somewhat deceiving as it has to be run via itâs own power source. I donât know how I missed it wasnât an amazon product, probably looking at so many, so, Iâve returned it packaged much more securely that it arrived, it was floating around in an non crash dampened box on arrival, not so good. I now have to wait for the refund so, I shall update you all on how that process goes. Thereâs no reason for it not to run smoothly. Update above.
As for the running at the speeds it suggests I canât comment due to not using it but, Iâm dubious, only due to the fact you have to have other factors in place for high speeds, not mentioned in the advertising. Details of read and write will be different. Just an an example of my dubiousness, a tope of the range 4TB SSD can only run up to just under 4GBs. Unless you have the right connection and processor speed etc etc. do your on homework is my advice.
I may have been influenced to make a quick purchase due to advertising and the 5 star reviews. Looking at them again there isnât a single review that actually states running speeds and fan, power etc, or what come across as sincere experiences.
I hope my review may help you make a more informed decision when purchasing. In conclusion, I would purchase this product from this company based on my experience as long as it is exactly what you need.

Be careful
If you want to use this for Xbox series s/x you should know that you cannot play games from the external hard drive. You can download them and store them, however if you want to play them you need to move them to the internal SSD. This can take several minutes, I just moved call of duty warzone which is 220gb at a rate of 1GB per second. This took about 5 minutes. Also you must already have space in your SSD to move files
