The DS-70 is a durable ultra-small mobile scanner weighing only 270g with a slimline design including a length of only 27.2cm. It’s ideal for making document scans where space is limited, or where the scanner needs to be stored away when not in use, or you can even take it on the road when needed. To reduce the clutter and to decrease set-up time, the supplied USB cable carries both data and power – meaning the DS-70 powers directly from the USB port of a laptop or computer.
Improve scanning efficiency
Epson Document Capture Pro software allows users to create customised presets for your most complex workflows. Like when capturing at specific scan settings and when saving to a specific folder on a laptop, network, or cloud account. These one-touch presets make day-to-day scanning jobs so much faster and easier. The software also includes many document imaging and management features including text enhancement, barcode recognition and zonal Optical Character Recognition (OCR). Aside from your scans looking more professional – the software can use the document’s content to automatically name and organise your files.
Versatile
With the DS-70 you can capture high resolution documents in colour and monochrome with absolute ease. When it comes to media it’s highly versatile with the ability to handle card and paper between 35 and 270 gsm. That includes A4 pages, invoices, receipts, business cards and plastic cards. You can even scan long paper up to 1.8 metres.

Great scanner
This compact little scanner is amazing. It scans A4 width maximum, but thatâs all I needed. So much quicker and less fiddly than a flat bed scanner and so small it takes up no space at all. It scans quickly and faultlessly, the installation is a breeze and the software is easy to use. Makes a change to buy a device that exceeds expectations.

This is a well made and compact scanner, fits great in my laptop case. Works great wired or wireless, internal battery lasts well for wireless scanning, good buy.I was so happy with it after I told my sister, she purchased one.

About Easy to use, you still need a PC, but the quality of photos is quite ok for the price. I had non digital photos which I made them now digital with this device and is just fine

Well worth considering.
Great little scanner can be used wirelessly or via USB. Don’t let the size fool you. This scanner is really efficient, quick at processing each page and a decent quality. Occasionally the page needs a little nudge but generally the page feeds through well. Really pleased with this purchase.

For a one page private scanner that is portable and small, this is excellent. The software, however, could be way better, but it does the trick.

Incompatibility issues with Apple Mac.
Itâs really not a very good product you can only feed through one piece of paper at a time and also it was totally incompatible with my up-to-date Mac computer the seller however did send me a new driver when I raised the issue which was helpful but did not work.

Awkward to align, poor results in certain situations
Whilst this does work as a wireless portable document scanner, and is really small and compact, I have major issues with its paper handling (probably caused by the small size) that unfortunately made it extremely frustrating to use.Firstly, its portable size means it doesnt have a sheet alignment guide, so you have to carefully align it to prevent any document skew. This itself is not in itself a massive issue, and can be lived with, however, the moment it detects anything in the slot, it tries almost immediately triesto grab and pull it a bit, and if you have not inserted it exactly right, it will skew. Now whilst you could adjust AFTER it grabs, in that case it may not feed correctly, and has to be lightly pushed, sometimes skewing unintentionally.On certain sizes of paper, only one roller on one side grabes the paper, which together with the lack of guides, and on some smooth/shiney/slippery paper can cause a skew whilst scanning, ruinign the scan.I also notice it often miss the top of a scan, due to the handling issues.Since my aim was to reduce paper, and get good quality dogital scans of documents/statements/invoices, it ended up being a huge frustration, despite its really portable sizeI suppose for some people who really need a portable scanner to scan documents for evidence reasons on the move, this scanner probably works well, and is definately a step up from using a phone camera.
