Superb mouse for palm grip users
Been after a good wireless MMO mouse which could used with a palm grip since i like the comfort. Wanted something to replace my Logitech G604 after moving to that from the G602. Tried the Aerox 7 and Naga Lightspeed but just could not get comfortable with the claw grip/fingertip grip that these offered. Finally found the Darkstar, this mouse is amazing, nice and lightweight with a really precise sensor. You don’t even feel it in your hand so no hand fatigue. Loads of cheesy lighting if you like that kind of thing. Usb c charging is appreciated and up to date. Only downside is the buggy i cue software which crashes quite often on my computer but can live with it. Highly recommended.

    Comfort, precision, style
Incredibly comfy mouse, as someone with big hands most mice give me cramp and tiring in the hand, this is a delight to rest on. The buttons all press nicely and are positioned well. I’ve had a few Corsair products now and a have impressed me. The battery life is very decent, although it doesn’t warn you about low battery until it’s at 5% which is very low since draining or over charging batteries reduces their lifespan. Overall, after 6-months of using this, I’m very satisfied.

Great for FPS but should come with Receiver extension adapter
I’m going to base this review on someone who has used the Logitech Superlight for over 1 year. This mouse might be targeted at those in the MMO scene but I found massive benefits while playing GTA online, Battlefield, Call of Duty, and Overwatch. For example, with Cod, I can bind my killstreaks, melee, mount, lethal and tactical, hold breath for sniping all to the side buttons, and still have a few mouse binds left over!In one of the photos provided, you will see my GTA online keys, all assigned to the mouse.Unfortunately, I did encounter one issue, and it was related to cursor skipping, I thought it was the sensor itself, but it turns out it was actually an issue with my USB wireless dongle, I had to use the Logitech Receiver extension adapter and this fixed the issue, for a mouse this pricey, it should come in the box Corsair!! (Please see one of my photos, I’m using the Logitech extension adapter.)Pros-Can program any key to the mouse buttons, including macros like TEXT.-Bluetooth works great-onboard memory for profiles-ICue profiles work great, I can pair games to profiles so when I load into say GTA, all my binds are at the ready-The side mouse buttons feel great, my thumb isn’t touching any of the side buttons.-2.4ghz slipstream supported-The USB adapter can support 2 in 1 dongle, meaning a Corsair-compatible keyboard like the k110 air can sync with the mouse usb dongle, fewer USB hubs neededCons-Battery life isn’t fantastic, lasts around 20 hours with RGB, so worth turning off-Doesnt come with Receiver extension adapter, For this price it should, as I had cursor lag.-Price is highOverall, I’m very happy, and it brought huge ease of use for most of the games I play, I would recommend it for those who like full control over their games and if the game has a lot of game controls, this mouse will be a great fit!

    Flimsy and unreliable.
Mouse wheel failed after 6 months, and the left mouse button creaks when you press it. The thumb buttons are well positioned, so like me you might buy it for the those, but be aware that the trade-off is a poorly made mouse in other respects.

Corsair Darkstar Wireless Mouse Review NO G604…
Corsair Darkstar Wireless Mouse Review NO G604…If you’re eyeing the Corsair Darkstar RGB Wireless as a potential Logitech G604 replacement, be warned — it’s not.The Darkstar is noticeably lighter, which some might appreciate, but for me it feels a bit too light. The G604 had a satisfying heft that made it feel planted and deliberate. Plus, its battery life was unmatched — weeks, even months on a single AA. The Darkstar? I’m plugging it in at least twice a day. That’s a hard downgrade. Now, let’s talk about the big selling point: the side buttons. Corsair really leans into this, advertising the unique 6-button circular cluster around the thumb as the standout feature. In practice? Not great. The front top and bottom buttons are usable, the center one is fiddly, and the rear three are flat-out awkward to reach. It looks futuristic, sure, but muscle memory is all over the place, and quick access suffers.Compare that to the G604’s button layout — six buttons placed in a logical grid just above the thumb. Four were immediately accessible and intuitive, with the back two slightly trickier but still usable. That design worked. This one? Less so.That said, the Darkstar is very “pick-up-able” — easy to lift and reposition during use, just like the G604. So if you’re a low-DPI lifter, that part checks out.As for the software: it’s fine. A little bloated, but at least it’s not littered with ads for other products like SteelSeries’ Aerox 5 Wireless software (which, frankly, was garbage). The Darkstar’s software does have scaling issues on 4K TVs — windows overlap, some options are cut off, and you’ll probably have to tweak display settings to use it properly. On 2K or 1080p screens, it behaves as expected.Bottom line: If you loved the G604 for its weight, battery life, and intuitive button layout, the Darkstar is going to frustrate you. The flashy circular side button design just doesn’t deliver where it counts. It looks good, performs well enough, but sacrifices function for form.

The product arrived within the week before the delivery date from international seller. The box arrived in perfect condition which was securely packed inside the delivery box. The Corsair DarkStar mouse is quite light and less fatiguing when gaming. Connection to the official ivue corsair software has many options for customisation with LED and buttons. When connecting with the provided 2.4ghz usb dongle, there was a few actions that didn’t register unless the mouse was near the usb dongle. The provide cable connection perform flawlessly in wired mode. There is also the bluetooth option but i didn’t test it. Although it is a higher priced mouse, it offers more with the tilt function and other numerous customisations.

Perfectly imperfect, way too expensive for what it is, nobody should buy this, unless you know exactly what you’re doing. It’s a billionaire’s mouse, it should not be bought.
