These adapters are great for offsetting a switch from the front of the rack in order to allow for cable management. If they are mounted securely to the rack, and the device is mounted securely to the adapters, it is just about as sturdy as the native rack mounts.

Interesting little accessory if your rack allows for it. Mine barely had clearance on the sides, which made getting this mounted tricky, but it was great for insetting a switch so the cables didn’t protrude as much out the front, leaving the front of my rack more tidy.
