I am gathering a few of these types of products, so we will see how this one turns out.This device uses a HJ-1503GE Controller, I couldn’t find anything about this controller.Once again like I have done for similar products, I have tested with a range of 2 machines shown below:â Linux Server #1 Running Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTSâ Linux Server #2 Running Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTSâ Windows 10 Pro RETAIL PCâ Windows 11 Pro RETAIL PCâ Windows 11 Pro RETAIL PCâ Apple iPad Air 4 (using a USB to Ethernet Adapter)â Nintendo Switch (using its Dock and USB Ethernet Adapter)â Amazon Fire TV Cube (3rd Gen)â Samsung Galaxy S9+ (using USB-C Ethernet Adapter)I have had this product for about a month and was testing this while testing a similar type of product.I had to shuffle connected machines while doing these tests, and for two weeks I had both Linux Servers and both Windows 11 machines connected to this device and the 5 port connected to our LAN.It worked rather well, I myself had no issues setting up and using this product.I only have a small issue with this product and that is the silkscreen saying 1000Mbps 1×4 Splitter. Its a 1Gbit 5 Port Ethernet Switch.Other than that its a really good product, once again I am not too sure on the price, for what it is and what you get, the price needs to be lowered a little due to there are better well known brands a little cheaper that has the same amount of ethernet ports and comes with a mains power adapter.Therefore I give this product a 4 star rating.

Great until everyone wants internet at once
I tried this 1-to-4 Ethernet splitter in my living room setup, where Iâve got a smart TV, a console, a laptop dock, and a set-top box, but only one wall socket for wired internet. The splitter was light and easy to plug in, and the USB-powered design meant no bulky adapters or sockets were neededâjust plugged it into a spare port on the TV for power.While all four devices lit up and detected a connection, I did notice that speeds werenât consistent. Streaming a film on one device while updating software on another caused noticeable buffering. Itâs definitely useful for extending access, but not ideal if all connected devices need strong bandwidth at the same time.Good for sharing a line between low-demand devices, but probably not something you’d rely on for heavy usage across all ports.

As title. I needed an ethernet splitter and this works perfectly. My last one (different make) burned out, which I cannot know if that will happen with this, but so far so good.

First thing you notice about this item out of the box is the quality feel of it. It’s all metal construction feels like a top drawer manufacturer. I got this as since I moved my cheapo plastic cased Lan splitter to inside a multi AV enclosure it keeps dropping out so have assumed its either just intermittent or could be a noise thing maybe, also that the Lan input comes from a powerline adapter. Anyway replaced with this and so far so good. It’s a nice compact enclosure so tucks behind my PVR well hidden. If it truly is constructed as described with extra shielding then this is indeed a quality unit. I won’t be pushing it to it’s 1GBit/s limit just split between a TV and a PVR so can’t comment on the max speed it can support, and the Powerline adapter would be the bottleneck on that anyway.My guess is that 1Gbit/s would be split between the ports if you wanted to use them all. I would say that there’s a typo in the spec detail on Amazon that says it’s speed it up to 1000Gbit/s. It obviously isn’t, that doesn’t exist. It’s 1000Mbit/s or 1Gbit/s. My only gripe is the price. Currently it’s just shy of £23 and you can get equivalent units for @£15. Good though. 1 star off for the price.

This Ethernet switch is compact but a heavy duty metal material. It does exactly what’s it’s supposed to do. We have the router plugged in to receive the internet. The TV, computer and PlayStation are plugged into 3 other spots with a port to spare. Allows all the devices to be hardwired into the Internet, rather than going through WiFi. It’s inconspicuously attached to the side of a mini fridge next to the desk with double faced tape. This allows all the wires to be out of the way. Great value!
