A low cost basic RJ45 cable tester.
The test results show good or bad connections for each pin of the plugs using green or red LED’s.Good enough for a quick conformation but if you need impedence and deeper tests this is not for you.It is good for the price and no multimeter required.

Great little tester
Great little tester, had one already that I’ve had for many years but it’s seen better days and wanted something a bit more helpful and came across this. Works the same as my old one pretty much but one handy feature is this one allows you to stop on a certain pin and leave the tester on that pin and by pushing the button it moves onto the next pin, much easier than it quickly flashing through each pin where if you blink you miss it, great feature. Also comes with a nice little case for safe storage so overall a great easy to use gadget for a good price, would happily recommend.

Failed after being used a few times.
The led lights on the 2 units show different results. This is the second low price one that I have purchased and both have failed after being used infrequently. Donât waste your money, spend a bit more and get something decent that lasts.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do, and has enabled me to fix a number of issues that were restricting my home network to 100mbps. Now everything is running at 1000mbps, all thanks to this great little tester. Fantastic value for money. Yes, it feels a bit cheap, but it works and does the job perfectly. What do you expect for under £10!
