Great for cooling albeit a little loud
Iâve got my main home server in my spare bedroom/office and was looking for a fan for my rack server and this is just ideal for this. The fan unit is heavy and provides a great deal of airflow for cooling, and it runs at a fixed speed.The brackets and screws for fitting to the rack air included in the package and is completed in a few minutes â the brackets are adjustable so the perfect position can be found. When turned on it can be clearly heard so worth thinking about when location is being considered, although there is the on/off button on the front to cut out the noise.This rack mounted fan is used for cooling my hard drives in my server and does the job well and is better for me than passive cooling which I was using before.

Definitely intended for a server room but effective
This is a great rack accessory. It’s plug and play with a standard UK plug, and moves a lot of air. It’s a great way of adding airflow and ventilation to any server setup.It’s sturdy enough to rest a machine or laptop on it for testing etc, and comes with all the fittings and accessories needed to mount it.Only issue really, which could be a bit of a non issue for many, is these are extremely loud. They’re large fans and the speed isn’t adjustable. I’d only recommend getting this if your rack is either somewhat sound retardant or if it’s in a room where this wouldn’t be an issue.Good value for money, and should keep a rack in good health.

Easy to Install
This was perfect for my home network rack. I have a small networking shelf in the living room that gets pretty warm with the equipment we have in there and this fan tray has helped a lot. The fans move plenty of air and keep the temp inside the box much lower. It was easy to mount and the adjustable rails made it simple to get the fit right. The noise level is low enough that it does not bother us in the living room. It has made a big difference to keeping the gear cool and running smooth.
Just My Thoughts –
Works well but noisy
I was pleasantly surprised by how solid and well-built this rack mount fan feels. The construction is sturdy, and assembly was very straightforward, just attach the rack bars and plug in the power cable And youâre good to go. It even comes with all the screws and rack fittings you need, which is a nice touch.In terms of performance, it works exactly as expected and moves a good amount of air. However, it is quite noisy. With no fan controls or speed adjustment, it runs at full volume all the time. Because of that, Iâd say itâs best suited to a machine room or any environment where people arenât trying to work nearby. For home setups without a dedicated machine room, the noise level could be an issue.That said, considering the price, it offers excellent value. If you need reliable cooling and donât mind the constant noise, itâs a solid choice.

Not a bad fan unit but not for the casual user
This isn’t a bad unit. It pushes a fair amount of air. It arrived with a damaged power cable which i have a ton of so not an issue but something to be aware of. My issue with it are noise mainly. I’ve done everything i can to quieten my server rack since i sit next to it and this literally blows all that away. There’s the air noise which i was expecting but theres also a vibration and lack of speed control which makes it horrible to work next to.I’m sure in a server room with a ton of servers all screaming this would fit right in but for me it’s something that i can’t use as is. I may open it an look to change fans or add speed control but as it came i can’t work next to it.

Really solid – good quality
This is a heavy units containing two large fans. It is very solid! Comes with the rack brackets including cage nuts and screws, as is standard with all TecMojo products. A simple switch on the front turns the fans on or off. The two fan version has no temperature read out, or seemingly any control based upon temperature – it simply on or off under manual control.The fans vent by taking air in from the underside and blowing it upwards out the top. The fans are fairly loud but the only noise is from the airflow rather than from the fans themselves. Air flow isn’t super fast but feels powerful so ensures good air flow even in fairly densely packed racks. Just be aware the venting direction and position it for the airflow you need.Another good quality TecMojo product. I’ve quite the collection!

Very loud fan Switch is NOT illuminated Can be used for other things than just in a rack
Tecmojo 1U 19” Rack Mounted Fan Shelf with 2 Fans, Fan Tray with Adjustable Rail for Different Depth, for Cooling 19inch AVThe fan shelf is in three parts, plus accessories: The fan shelf itself, the two adjustable side brackets, and a pack of fixing nuts and bolts. The brackets have various fixing holes so that the fan shelf can be at the front of the rack or further back as required.Fixing is quick and straight forward. simply screw the supporting brackets to the fan shelf to create the unit then bolt the unit to the rack. No special tools are required.The listing picture states that the on / off switch is illuminated, it isn’t. The switch is solid red plastic and doesn’t illuminate when on.The supplied cable is rated at 10A and, when checked, the plug has a genuine 10A fuse fitted.What is missing is the Voltage / Current plate. The measured current drawn was 20W at 235V AC.The fan shelf is very noisy. The speed is fixed and cannot be controlled.The listing states one of the uses as being for a Home Theatre. Unless the home theatre equipment is in a separate room to that used for viewing, I wouldn’t recommend it because of the fan noise. The fan shelf is probably OK if used in a remote or soundproof room, but I certainly wouldn’t want to use it in a room that I am in.The fan shelf lays flat which means that it can be used for other purposes that just for fixing in a rack.
