Amazing for the price
An amazing bit of tech. It’s transformed my old TV into a smart TV! I previously had an old Chromecast and this is so much better. It’s easy to set-up, has loads of apps and the remote control is really handy and you can also use your phone or tablet to connect and navigate. Also the Wi-Fi connection is really stable and it works really fast. I’ve just bought a second one. I’ll also take one of these on holiday so I can connect to the hotel TV’s to watch what I want. For the money this is an absolute bargain – 5 Stars ++.

Great product
So we have one remaining kids bedroom tv which isnât smart, and yesterday the Roku we had on that tv broke but we just replaced it. Very inexpensive way of making the tv into a smart tv. And means we donât need to upgrade the tv just yet. Amazing! .. so quick and easy to set up and you can pick and choose which channels show on the screen as we only like a select few kids channels on the tv. So Disney cbbc etc

IDEAL FOR ALL STREAMERS
It seems most other brands are “powered by ROKU” so why not go to the source. Simple, cheap and small unit. Works immediately even with weaker internet signal. This is the THIRD I bought (for use with projector) and cannot recommend more. Don’t be put off by system requiring you to lodge a credit card â thats just to streamline if you want to buy or subscribe to films/other platforms like NOW. Even if you don’t have any subscriptions to the leading streamers (their apps all options here) this unit comes with a range of free stuff (obvs not the latest blockbusters as on Apple + etc).

I was amazed with how quick this works in comparison to a now TV stick. I’ll definitely be buying more. Got all the Apps you need e.g itv player, my5 and more. Connectivity is brilliant, doesn’t buff at all like the now TV stick does (all the time) easy to install, pretty straight forward. Exactly what I was looking for! ð Also had no problems with the remote. I don’t know why I’ve read in other reviews that they had trouble with the remote. Honestly had no issues at all

Easy to set up and use
I’m not overly adept at wifi, streaming etc, but found this very easy to set up & use. Picture & sound quality is great. My only gripe is that there’s very little free TV worth watching, most of the good stuff is subscription. We watch very little modern day TV & thought this might be a good alternative to a large dvd collection, but I have to say, we’ll keep our dvds. It’s more than paid for itself, in that we can watch “Classic Coronation Street” whenever we like, but other than that, we watch very little free TV on it. The occasional episode of Minder, the Sweeney & a few others, but not a great deal. If you don’t mind paying for more TV channels, you won’t go far wrong with, but if you were expecting a shed load of good, free TV then you’ll be a tad disappointed.

Turn your TV into a smart TV
Rokus are robust and small, so you can take them anywhere. They remember the Wi-Fi password of everywhere youâve used it, so it doesnât take long to log back in when you go back. Spare remotes cost peanuts and they all work with each other. We have 3 Rokus in our house as they connect via HDMI so we can use them on PC monitors as well, and in the kids room. All the remotes are interchangeable, and you can get ones with a voice control to find the remote. Thereâs also an app which works very well and even has a headphone button to pull the sound to your phone, so others in the room donât have to listen to what youâre watching. The Roku has an Apple TV app you can download, turning it into an Apple TV box, so you can stream your playlists from your phone through it too. Great if you have a good sound system on your telly! Itâs way better than Alexa or Prime sticks, and so much cheaper. Our Prime sticks would randomly stop working after a year or so, but the Rokus neve have. 100% would choose Roku over anything else. More apps available than any other too!

Just to start using the device you need to subscribe an account on their website… why? On top of that during account subscription it is mandatory to insert credit card information even if you plan to never buy anything.
Channels availability is based on your region and you cannot add new ones, I live in Italy, i was planning to use it to watch Amazon Prime, Netflix, Disney Plus, Pluto tv (Channels that are also advertised on the box) turns out I can only watch Netflix and a pletora of trash channels, if you really care to watch one of those you have to manually scroll (yeah you heard me right no search function) through a few thousand icons.
If you live in Europe do yourself a favour and grab an amazon stick or an android tv device instead.
