CHERRY – A company with tradition
As early as 1953, Walter L. Cherry began manufacturing the first microswitches in the basement of a restaurant in Illinois. 20 years later, the first keyboards were built – making CHERRY the oldest manufacturer of computer keyboards. In 1983, production of the MX switches began, which are now used billions of times in millions of keyboards around the world.

Great mouse
Well designed, if a bit cheap and plasticky feel. No Logitech these for quality build BUT they work very smoothly and that’ll do me

A great fairly large right handed mouse with lots of useful buttons

Comfortable but poor button placement / button press force thresholds
The mouse works fine, no issues there. But I find when rolling down the scroll wheel my finger often hits the sensitivity + button which is annoying as I then need to turn it back down again. If there needed to be a little more force to press the sensitivity + button, or the button was moved down a few mm then this would be great.Likewise, the page back and forward buttons on the left are often accidentally pressed with my thumb. A few mm higher and this wouldn’t be an issue or if there was more force needed to press then that’d be fine too.Because of having to be aware of these quirks I can’t rate the comfort too high. If there was an easy software utility to disable the buttons that’d make it quite acceptable.Edit – It’s now 2025 and the mouse lasted 3 years. The crevices were a magnet for dead skin (yummy) and the mouse has now seemingly started to cut out to the receiver occasionally. I’ve now moved to a Logitech MX Master 3S which so far (30mins in) feels great and more comfortable.

Great little Mouse
Having had a Cherry mouse before I have come to love this make . So I searched for a new one and got this. Good quality German engineering . Nice and comfortable and operates smoothly . Is nice switch underneath . Fits in the hand nicely .

Awful design
Two things you will hate – the mouse wheel doesn’t respond at all to a light touch – you think you are turning the wheel but it’s not. It’s so clunky and stiff you have to really push with your finger to get it to work. The next thing you’ll hate is the placement of the BACK/FORWARD buttons on the left side – precisely where you’re thumb rests – so you’re forever accidentally clicking the BACK button, which jumps back to the previous thing you were doing and you lose your current work/input/screen. This is dreadful design from a respected company like Cherry. I use the Cherry Unlimited Mouse 3 on another computer and the wheel action is perfect, so it’s not me or my big hands to blame. I’m disappointed in Cherry and it’s going back to Amazon.

This is a very comfortable ambidextrous mouse. It has a rocker switch behind the scroll wheel used for adjusting the DPI setting. This function very intuitive and I see myself selecting higher or lower sensitivity depending on the demands of whatever I’m doing, however, I’ve never had to do this before, so I imagine I’ll just forget that this function is there until I accidentally hit the toggle switch. A LED indicator near the scroll wheel helps to show what setting it is on while you’re toggling by shining yellow, green, or red.Size is perfect for my medium hands; I’ve included a picture next to an Altoids tin for scale. The wings on the sides of the mouse feel great and keep my thumb and pinkie from touching the mouse pad. My previous mouse didn’t have this; I’m not sure if I’ll get used to not feeling the mouse pad dragging under my fingers, but so far it is very comfortable. Buttons are very satisfyingly clicky. All of the moving parts are very satisfying. Not too light, not too heavy. Pretty much perfect. The mouse came wrapped in tissue paper with a manual in a cardboard box. I appreciate the lack of plastic packaging.
