MULTIFUNCTIONAL DETECTION: SF1 stud finder has 4 major functions, suitable for detecting metal, wood, magnetism, AC wires, and can accurately and quickly locate nails, screws, steel bars, wooden beams, AC cables, etc.
FAST AND ACCURATE STUD FINDER: HANMATEK SF1 stud finder supports exact mode, in which it can quickly and accurately measure the maximum depth of 20mm. In normal mode, it supports the measurement of iron at a depth of 120mm at most.
AUTOMATIC CALIBRATION:The stud finder can be calibrated automatically, just press the metal detection button. Note: Auto-calibration must be performed without nails, AC wires or metal, otherwise the test results will be inaccurate.
EASY TO READ:The signal strength display area on the display clearly shows the distance to metal objects. The screen can see scan mode, detection depth, detection signal strength, battery indicator and center point etc. And the stud finder can shut down without operation within 5 minutes.
WIDE RANGE OF USE: This SF1 stud finder can quickly locate metal and wooden AC wires hidden in the walls, floors and ceilings of your home, helping you avoid danger when installing TVs, cabinets, garage shelves and more.

Excellent ðð!
Very handy tool! The stud finder is accurate for detecting wood, metal, and live wires. The depth tracker works well and the display is clear. Compact and easy to use, perfect for DIY jobs around the house. Helps avoid drilling into cables or pipes. Great value for the price!

Reliable Stud Finder with Room for Improvement
The HANMATEK Stud Finder SF1 Wall Scanner is a 4-in-1 electronic stud sensor that promises accurate stud detection. While it performs adequately in most situations, I did encounter some issues when using it on the ceiling. The stud finder features multiple scanning modes, including stud detection, metal detection, AC wire detection, and deep scanning. In most cases, it accurately located studs within walls, making it a useful tool for various projects. However, when attempting to locate studs in the ceiling, I found that the accuracy was inconsistent. The stud finder missed a few studs, which led to frustration and additional time spent trying to find them manually. This limitation may be due to the angle of the scan or the density of materials in the ceiling. On the positive side, the stud finder is compact, lightweight, and easy to handle. The LCD screen provides clear and intuitive readouts, making it user-friendly. The built-in marking feature allows you to note the detected stud locations for convenience during the project. The battery life is decent, providing sufficient power for extended use. The device also includes a handy auto-shutoff feature to preserve battery when not in use, which is a nice touch.Overall, while the HANMATEK Stud Finder SF1 Wall Scanner performs well for most stud detection tasks, it falls short when it comes to accurately detecting studs in the ceiling. For wall applications, it is a reliable tool. However, if you primarily need to locate ceiling studs, you may want to consider alternative options or rely on manual methods for greater accuracy.Pros:Multiple scanning modes for versatilityCompact, lightweight, and easy to handleClear LCD screen for easy readoutsBuilt-in marking feature for convenienceCons:Inconsistent accuracy in locating ceiling studs

Working better than expected whilst testing it out
Used to test it works and at initial testing it did. I put it against my internal stud wall and it was able to pick that up. Also tested it near some socket cabling I knew was located in that area from installation and it picked this up. Cannot complain thus far but have not had to use it for a project yet.

Waste of time and money… look for a better alternative.
I’d love to do a video, but the cupboard is too confined yet perfect to demonstrate just how useless this product is. I bought it as I had recently purchased the same brand’s digital meter. Just how different could their reliability be? As wide as Southampton to New York dock! So, how did I reach this conclusion you ask? In bed… literally. On my bed is a piece of 18 mm ply board, on that is the detector and my laptop. In turn, those are on top of an OTTY mattress. That is it.Image 1 (from left to right) shows the detector active… zero, zilch, denada.. not a sniff of a baton – agreed?Image 2 – it gets a twitch. Now whilst you cannot see this, imagine I am moving this detector mm by mm to the left then right. the bar scale fluctuates and then gives an edge reading.. over two inches from the edge.Image 3 – pictures never tell lies – guess what.. ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yes they do!Let me explain. The detector states there is a batan there – wait for it… when I hold it on both sides with one hand… What the actual ahem! I doth protest me lud, it must have a case of electronic woodworm! How can you detect a baton, only when you completely shroud the scanner with one hand – immmmmmmmmmmpossible! Moreover, how can it detect a baton if/when it doesn’t twitch when simply switched on? It can’t!!So, cupboard test… place it directly on top of a baton I know is there and… (see image 1). Correct, it does not detect. Ah Ha! Active deep scan (it is only plasterboard) and… zilch, zenada… Absolutely useless, as much use as a chocolate fireguard! Now check out the final image… enough said!Copper pipes? Not even when placed directly next to or on top of… Electrics, I wouldn’t trust it if the other analysis is anything to go by. Water.. floods, electric, kills!Refund requested.

Product is not same as per advertisement image or specifications shown on Amazon portal. The function is also not same. Your money and time both will be waste.
