Superb printer
I am really pleased with this printer. Firstly, it was extremely easy to set up. There are not many instructions, but the diagrams on the accompanying sheet were easy to follow and I was able to get the printer set up, cartridge installed and printer connected to the internet within a very short space of time. I didnât even have to bother with a USB cable for connection to the computer either, because the Brother software is very easy to download and install on the computer and automatically takes you through the setup procedure for internet connection to the printer. Same with phone and iPad, very easy to connect to the printer using the Brother software.Secondly, the size of the printer. It doesnât take up much space, the paper tray holds plenty of paper and the lid for the scanner can be extended higher to scan bulkier items. Itâs no larger than my old inkjet printer in terms of width and depth, in fact itâs a couple of centimetres smaller. It is about 10cm taller than my old inkjet printer though, which is fine. And finally, the print quality is very good and it prints extremely quickly. There is nothing to dislike about this printer, it appears to be well made, compact, easy to use and efficient.

Printing and scanning is noise .
When print or scan it makes noise . Machine not runs smoothly but overall itâs fine if you like Brother

1st impressions
This is a good product simple to set up has 2 sided printing so you can save paper, and the scan and copy functions mean you only need one unit for all your home or home office needs. It can also print from your phone if you install the brother app.

Simply brilliant
Printer arrived in good time. The printer was well packaged.Very easy to follow instructions on how to set up the printer up from right out of the box.I am a little worried with app based set up products – however this was very simple and not at all confusing.Connected to wifi very easy and once connected its like a network printer. You just select the printer to print too and you are off.the quality of the print is excellent.i would highly recommend this product to anyone

Easy to use and set up
I’m really pleased with this printer. Even after a couple of years, it’s still going strong which is a good sign. I was surprised how easy it was to set up, especially because I typically don’t find this kind of thing particularly intuitive. All functions work well, and I’ve been able to get some good quality scans out of it.I particularly like that I have the option of sending documents from my phone using the app, which has been quite helpful.

3 stars is generous
This was one of the most difficult printers to set up. Firstly, it wouldn’t connect to my WiFi, but after 3-1/2 hours it did. Then it wouldn’t connect to my mobile phone (I don’t use a computer), that took another hour. All that time inputting numbers, passwords etc. It finally printed a test piece but it was bigger than the A4 parameters and I wasn’t able to resize it. The Brother Connector app will not work properly and shows the printer as disabled and refusing to print. By this time I was very very narked as I needed to print off some legal documents and I missed the post. Then I tried to print off a couple of photographs but it wasn’t having any of that either. Now with virtual steam coming out of my ears I chucked the box I’d just stepped out of and took a screenshot. Again I couldn’t resize but at least it was readable. Next bit of fun was trying to switch the wretched thing off, no chance. Ten minutes later and with the aid of a pen I finally managed it. But, and there’s always a but, of course I’d forgotten one item so I switched it on again, or tried to. Message: not connected to the Internet, cannot print. Right says I to an empty room, now you’re for it. Pressed button to wake it up, and pressed the start button without further instruction. Lo and behold it copied beautifully.I’m seriously considering returning it. The initial putting it together: 5 minutes. Getting it to work properly: almost 5 hours and counting. Shame because I’ve always liked my Brother printers. Never had a problem remote printing with my £50 Epson. This one just extracts the Michael. The print quality redeems it.
