Great microphone
Got this for my son and he absolutely loves it. The sound quality is brilliant and he loves the way it looks. Great buy.

Passable mic quality with good value for the budget seeking.
The GXT 236 mic. This is a decent microphone with a design appealing for gamers, with an RGB light on the bottom that is quite clean looking and doesn’t look bad or cheap. It also has a headphone jack and 2 buttons to mute the mic and to turn the RGB on and off.
Starting with the headphone jack, for my IEMs there is a very slight quiet audible buzz when plugged in, and is quite loud too (had to have it on 10 vs my usual 40 volume). But the sound quality sounds a bit worse in comparison to directly plugging the earphones into the PC itself. Weird.
The mic RGB also does not turn off itself when it goes to sleep (although maybe it’s my PC USB settings, but my RGB mouse and keyboard does not have this issue). So I have to manually turn it on and off when I don’t want it, a little inconvenient but passable. Excluding that, it looks nice, not dim, and not cheap looking for RGB.
And the mic quality is not exactly the best, considering my old’s headset mic (razer blackshark v2 X) sounds better and more clear compared to this. But it’s fine, nothing bad nothing exceptional, if you just need a so so sounding mic then it’s fine.
In conclusion, it is a decent mic for the price of 18.5 pounds that I got it for, with a mute button and a headphone jack with RGB, it’s good for those on a budget, but those who are looking for a better mic quality as it is mediocre, I would suggest the Razer Seiren Mini, or the V3 mini for a mute button (if you are willing to increase the budget by $10-15. However I think those who buy it knowing its small downsides will be happy with the mic, that is good enough and just needs a nice budget gaming microphone.

Just what I was looking for!
My headset microphone broke and I didn’t want to buy a new headset due to the price. I purchased this microphone to use in the meantime but in all honesty I’m just going to keep this current set up. The sound quality is very clear and brilliant for the price.
The setup is very easy… you just plug in the usb slot and it works straight away! Would recommend due to the quality and the price.

Audio has an annoying buzzing sound in the back
Everytime I try to use this microphone there is always an electric sound present in the back of every sound it picks up. It ruins all audio that it captures and makes it a nuisance. This issue is also present on another microphone from this company which I initially assumed I had broken something but this issue seems to be present straight out of the box. I am disappointed.
Edit:
After some checking around I was able to minimise the buzzing sound in the background by lowering the input volume in settings. Aside from that issue I think the microphone is great. It’s size is perfect for a small desk and even uses USB-C which it can dettach from. The microphone itself feels great and the stand is nice too, all a nice metal feel. The audio does sound good when its not ruined by the buzzing sound so that’s good too. Overall great just really disappointed by the buzzing sound.

Verarbeitung & Design:
Das Mikrofon sieht super stylisch aus mit der RGB-Beleuchtung – ein echter Hingucker auf dem Schreibtisch. Es fühlt sich hochwertig an und steht stabil, ohne zu wackeln. Die RGB-Beleuchtung ist nicht zu grell und gibt meinem Setup einen schönen Akzent.
Tonqualität:
Für ein Mikrofon in dieser Preisklasse ist die Tonqualität wirklich beeindruckend. Die Stimme wird klar und deutlich übertragen, ohne störende Nebengeräusche. Perfekt für Streaming, Podcasts oder Gaming-Sessions. Die Nierencharakteristik sorgt dafür, dass hauptsächlich die Stimme vor dem Mikrofon aufgenommen wird, während Hintergrundgeräusche gut ausgeblendet werden. Auch für ASMR funktioniert es erstaunlich gut!
Funktionen:
Die Stummschaltung ist super praktisch und reagiert sofort. Das Mikrofon per USB anzuschließen war kinderleicht – Plug & Play, es war direkt einsatzbereit. Keine komplizierte Software nötig.
Preis-Leistung:
Für diesen Preis bekommt man ein Mikrofon, das locker mit teureren Modellen mithalten kann. Perfekt für Einsteiger und Hobby-Streamer, aber auch für erfahrene Nutzer, die ein solides Zweitmikrofon suchen.
Fazit:
Ich bin rundum zufrieden und würde das Trust GXT 236 Yami jedem empfehlen, der ein gutes und preiswertes Mikrofon für Streaming, Discord oder YouTube sucht. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Ljudet är helt klart godkänt. LÃ¥ter som en lÃ¥ngt dyrare mikrofon. MÃ¥nga av delarna är metall och byggkvaliteten är bra. Jag hade lätt kunnat betala det dubbla för denna mikrofon (OBS: ser att de höjt priset ordentligt sen jag köpte – dÃ¥ kostade den 229 kr).
