Nice piece of kit at a sensible price. Fitting the hood was fairly straightforward. Fitting the uv filter took a little longer due to lack of instructions & having to go by the pictures on the product web page. Bit disappointed that you can’t use the uv filter separate from the hood as per my old Sony bridge camera but happy with it overall.

Lens hood doesnât fit
Fitting to a new Canon SX 70Quality seems good but:The adapter is an extremely tight fit, I was a bit worried about damaging the lens whilst trying to clip it on.Filter fits well, will darken your photos by a couple of clicks.Hood didnât fit at all, tried screwing it into the adapter and it just turned around continuously, threads barely meshed and the hood just pulled away easily.Overall, a fifty fifty experience. Didnât cost a lot so not a great loss.

Not a good fit on Canon SX40
When filter adapter fitted to camera lens it did not fully tighten and as a result moved slightly.Also lens hood was fiddly and not a quick fit or removal. Poor quality.Free Return and full refund arranged with no problems.

Nice to be able to fit filters to the SX PowerShots
Fitted well without having to force it on and doesn’t feel like it’s likely to come loose by itself. Also, it looks good and it’s great to be able to fit filters and lens hoods to the PowerShot camera.

Didnât fit!
I tried several times to fit this to my Canon SX 70 HS but couldnât get the bayonet fitting to work. As others have remarked, there are no instructions with this, however it shouldnât really need them as it looks pretty straightforward. I was frightened of damaging my camera so eventually gave up and sent back for a refund. Reading reviews, I suppose I was taking a bit of a risk with this purchase as others seem to have had similar issues.

Works as advertised
This product has had some poor reviews so I was a bit dubious about ordering it. The couple of good reviews swayed me. What I really needed was the adapter ring. If it all worked as claimed, then the UV filter to protect my lens and the lens hood were bonuses. I tried it all out when it arrived and had absolutely no problems. One reviewer warned that you had to turn the adapter ring anti-clockwise, which is counter-intuitive. He is correct. Although it was quite tight and needed a gentle but firm twist, it went on with no problem and locked firmly. The UV filter and lens hood screwed onto the adapter ring with no issues, as did my CPL filter. If you engage the thread properly, they screw on easily. As pointed out by one reviewer, there is some vignetting with the lens hood when the lens is set to its widest angle but zoom in just slightly and it is fine. I am not sure of the quality of the glass in the UV filter and have not done any testing but for now, it does serve to protect the lens. Overall, this was a good purchase and I am pleased with it.
