Aqara Panel Hub S1 Plus – Current status of use
You always need an M3/Camera G5 HUB (approx. €130) to integrate Matter devices. Unfortunately, the Panel S1 Plus (approx. €290) cannot display vertically (portrait), as is required for installation over a light switch, for example. I also miss a thermostat control (graphic display). Otherwise, the product feels very high quality and the response to the (Matter) devices is very fast. Hue lamps can be controlled cleanly and sockets (e.g. Meross), Nuki Smart Lock 4 Pro or Ultra can also be controlled cleanly via Matter & M3 Hub. I hope that one or two things will be added via a software update (e.g. turning the display to portrait). The display is simply perfect for normal USB operation via power supply or battery. The matter transfer from the Home Assistant is also not a problem here.EDIT 02/23/2025Problems:- some symbols from Aqara scenes are not transferred to the S1+ panel- Matter over Thread Smart Plug “socket – e.g. Onvis” without WiFi) cannot be transferred from the M3 or S1+- Lock icon: PLEASE change the “correct” German name “Was…” to “Was…” e.g. Was not locked 12:33- Weather display finds location but shows the temperature very inaccurately. It only seems to synchronize when the Aqara app is opened on the cell phone. A weather server should be queried directly from the S1+ panel here. Because a difference of 5 -10 degrees over several hours is not acceptable- only 4 of the 6 virtual buttons can be used because 2 virtual buttons are operated with the relay switches.Wishes:- Switches should be shown as small symbols on the S1+ panel like scenes (see photo)- More backgrounds and switch shapes, such as the “Aqara Smart Switch S1E”, would help the feel of the S1+ panel a lot, including a temperature display such as the “Aqara Smart Thermostat S3 Touchscreen”- a wall mount for USB operation so that the display can be mounted at the right height for use as an intercom, for example.Conclusion at the moment:Unfortunately, the S1+ panel cannot yet find its way onto the wall (too many problems & wishes). I hope that a firmware update (coming soon) will show that efforts are being made to fix many of the points mentioned here. Because I think the S1Plus panel hub is a cool entry-level product for the Aqara brand

Bello e funzionale.Essendo anche un hub permette di comandare tutto l’ecosistema Aqara.Pessimo il collegamento del dispositivo tablet alla base, dentini che si piegano, inoltre non adatto alle scatolette italiane e svizzere, quindi bisogna acquistare a parte un adattatore.Grafica e semplicità d’uso sono ottimi.Un pò troppo caro tuttavia per quello che offre.

Très bonne tablette dans la continuité des autres objets connectés Aqara.Les moins :- beaucoup plus cher que les autres produits dont nous a habitué Aqara.- la tablette peut être dissociée du support de prise afin d’être utilisée comme n’importe quelle autre tablette mais il faut en permanence qu’elle soit connectée à un chargeur usb-c ce qui est dommage… une batterie permettant un minimum d’autonomie aurait été appréciable.- sans fil neutre impossible de l’installer dans une prise et ça c’est un gros point noir car peu de logements européens sont équipés d’un fil neutre pour les luminaires.- la tablette pouvant être dissociée de la prise, il aurait été appréciable qu’Aqara propose des supports de tablette spécifiques.- les caméras sont uniquement en streaming donc aucune possibilité de voir l’historique sur la tablette.Les plus :- je l’ai branché en tant que prise et ce nouvel équipement a vite été adopté par toute la famille et il nous serait difficile de nous en séparer une fois que l’on y a goûté.- la taille de la tablette est ni trop petite ni trop grande.- le double interrupteur direct et les 6 commutateurs offrent une belle gamme de possibilité et de conforts.- les thèmes sont très jolis.- le détecteur de présence dès que l’on s’approche de l’écran attire tout de suite notre regard et nous donne envie d’aller « jouer » avec la tablette.Non évalué :- la tablette est compatible. Ma maison n’a pas d’autres équipements autre que la marque Aqara je n’ai donc pas pu tester ceci.Conclusion :Dans l’ensemble je suis satisfait de ce produit mais cela dépend de chacun.Ayant que des produits Aqara en domotique dans mon domicile je me doutais que je n’aurais aucun problème de compatibilité.La tablette est personnalisable et nous en sommes satisfait.
