My HUAWEI wearable device cannot receive message notifications
Your HUAWEI wearable device receives notifications via the Huawei Health app. More exactly, the app reads the messages from the notification panel of the phone and then pushes them to your watch/band.
The wearable appears connected on my phone, but disconnected in the Huawei Health app.
The pairing software of the wearable device is restricted by the phone’s system, so Bluetooth disconnects if the Huawei Health is not allowed to run in the background.

Reliable
I have had this product for years now. It has a long battery life, doesn’t do much in terms of the fancier fitness watches but it does track my steps and my calories etc. Not sure or how accurate it is because sometimes my watch and phone steps do not match up. But it is nice to see. It’s light and doesn’t get in the way of my day to day activities. Black and simple so doesn’t stand out too much which is what I prefer. Can’t send or action any messages or emails. But can see the most current messages on the phone from the watch. Can snooze alarms if close enough to the phone which is handy and can also reject phonecalls if necessary. Have a few free watch faces to try out which show different things at first glance so have many options to pick the right one for yourself.Again because I’ve had it for so many years have a few small superficial scratches on the screen but can’t see them when the watch screen goes on. And the matte coating have rubbed off mainly now and the Huawei imprint on the silicone strap holder has scrubbed off now.Have options on the watch to input different exercises and tracks what kind of burn out is happening. The most handy thing is that once set up I can always select the ‘find my phone’ and if in the same area then the phone will alert me with ‘I’m here’ which makes finding my phone when it’s misplaced soooo much easier!!On the simple side so if you’re looking for something high tech this isn’t the one for you. If it’s something basic and easy to use with a long battery life (7days) then this will work. I have a Huawei phone to go with the watch but can link it to Samsung or other androids but the features may not always work as effectively from my experience.

Fantastic!
I’ve had this for 4 days now and am delighted so far.The heart monitor on my fitbit versa 2 stopped working in October after 18 months (which I’ve since found out they do when you do an update, so you need a new one!)I bought a cheap, unknown brand watch to replace but couldn’t get the app to work or the phone to sync (amazing reviews on amazon, rubbish reviews on the app store so worth checking both when you buy). I returned and then saw this as a prime deal for £28 and had heard of Huawei. (If you’re paranoid that the Chinese government are going to track your heart rate or your WhatsApps between you and your partner about what you’re having for tea then maybe its not for you, I personally don’t believe they do hence buying it!)The app was easy to download. I set up an email address and added my phone number, presumably so they can pull through texts and calls to the watch. The phone offers so much more than my fit bit did inc; stress levels, blood oxygen monitoring and the sleep monitoring is better than that on the fitbit.I have a St John Ambulance heart and blood oxygen monitor and have measured a few times whilst wearing the watch to check the accuracy and both the watch and monitor were aligned every time. The stress test does seem a bit gimmicky but having had a very stressful hour, it accurately picked up on this which is impressive. There are numerous faces that you can choose from and what is also helpful is by clicking on an area on the watch face, it takes you to that section. Ie. If I click on the heart rate, it takes me to the heart monitor which is really good for a cheap watch! Its got breathing exercises and a really good torch too. The find my phone option is great and the vibrations for alerts and alarms are strong and can be changed. You can also control your music. There’s exercise tracking/workout records and a function that reminds you to get up and move every hour. The app seems very detailed and elaborates on all of the infi/functions on the watch ie. The watch will tell us how long you were asleep/napping for, the app goes in to loads of detail and shows when you were in REM/awake/light sleep etc and sleep quality.4 days in so it’s still early days for me but so far so good. Very impressed and would never spend £200 on a fancy brand watch again when I can get so much more for 28 quid!

Brilliant!
I purchased this as I had lost my old model of the HUAWEI fitness tracker. I needed a replacement as I needed to track my activity to ensure I was doing a certain level because I have fibromyalgia. It helps me track my sleep, heart rate, blood oxygen levels and steps as well as receive notifications from my phone if I choose to. It also enables me to see and control if Iâm doing too much activity or too little which is a fine balance with fibromyalgia. It literally looks like a slightly narrower version of the Apple Watch! Screen display is of excellent quality. It definitely looks more expensive than it is and works/operates way more expensive than it is!You have to download the HUAWEI fitness app where you can keep track of all the data you have generated and you can go back and view what your heart rate, steps, stress levels, sleep quality, oxygen levels were throughout the day and it gives you an insight on how you can increase the quality of your life and health just by seeing your stats.Oh and battery life is amazing even though I have heart rate, oxygen and stress test on, recording constantly!Charging is very different to earlier models. Earlier models you had to âclipâ onto the charger but this one is magnetic and magnetically attaches to the charge ports. Thereâs no way you can get it the wrong way round as the magnet wonât connect. However, you only get the charging cable and no plug but I have an extension tower with Loads of USB ports so it hasnât been a problem for me.After using this watch for over a month now, before submitting this review, I would definitely and absolutely recommend this watch to anyone considering buying it. Iâm really happy with it and have had absolutely no problems. Go for it!Update: Months on from purchase – no problems at all. It is still very much part of my daily life and battery life is excellent.I have an Apple iPhone and downloading the HUAWEI app from the APP Store and using it was easy with no problems at all. When you open the app, flick down to update. If you havenât open the HUAWEI Health app for a while, you need to wait until everything is downloaded thus the app updated with your data. If you access the app every day, you wonât wait long for it to update the data accumulated from your watch.I have read people having problems on Android, Google App Store. I canât comment. However I have had absolutely no problems on my apple iPhone nor have I had any problems with my watch, months and months down the line. Iâm still really happy with my watch. I would highly recommend buying it!

Best fitness watch I have ever bought. I have small wrists, all watches are too big and bulky. It is well made, I shower with it on, battery lasts a week at least. I bought it March 2022 and it still works great. I am thinking of buying an updated model at some point. Great price. Nothing but good things to say.

Providing most of the basic metrics Iâm interested in with heart rate, sleep analysis, steps, SpO2 and excercise data. The Huawei health app provides some interesting tips according to sleep etc. Good value for the price and I have been using it for around a year.
