Great keyboard
Very pleased with this purchase. I looked around for quite a while before deciding on this and was not disappointed.The keyboard is small. Much smaller than my previous one. Although small all the keys are full size and it’s a standard UK layout complete with a full numeric section (normally missing on keyboards of this size. Typing is comfortable, key travel is sold as 2mm and I wouldn’t dispute that.The low profile key strikes have a very positive feel about them.Surprisingly, due to its size, it even has some keys that I’ve not seen before. All the usual F1 to F10 keys are there, mapped to media keys initially, volume up / down, fast forward / rewind, brightness etc. However there are also microphone mute, emoji and a lock button that I hadn’t seen before. I was expecting the lock button to lock the keyboard but no, it locks your PC, handy if your boss appears while you’re watching YouTube.About the only thing I could moan about is the programmable keys. Yes there are twenty of them and yes they can be programmed for specific tasks in any application you use. Great, however there is no tutorial on how to set them up. The manual itself is one sheet in multiple languages that only tells you how to insert the batteries, dongle and get the keyboard started. It did also say that I needed to download the HP Accessory Centre. Having done that still no instructions but I cautiously tried the trial and error approach to programming hot keys to my Affinity Photo app. After a couple of wrong moves I have got it to work, and it works well. Apparently the keys can be programmed for different tasks in any application that you have open. Thats a step too far for me at the moment. Disappointing that HP don’t provide even a basic user guide for this as it was quite daunting when you don’t want to screw anything up.All said, I’m well pleased with the purchase and would definitely recommend it. Oh, it’s also made from 60% recycled materials which is always a good thing.

Exactly what you need
This is a good reasonably priced keyboard. I’ve had the keyboard for about a month, and it has been used daily for work. After using this keyboard for 8-9 hours a day I have found it to be comfortable throughout, especially compared to cheaper competitors. The overall construction is solid with little flex. With regards to styling the keyboard is slim and looks good sitting on the desk. Whilst the angle adjustment is limited for me it sits just fine and hasn’t caused any issues. Although I haven’t programmed all of the buttons, I have done some to assist the daily tasks. Using the HP accessory centre was straightforward and made the task simple. The only minor issue to date is that I have had one key get stuck. After releasing it with a bit of air duster over week ago the issues hasn’t reoccurred so I think that might just have been a one rather than ongoing issue. Overall, a good solid product that I would recommend.

Great little keyboard
This is a great keyboard that does its job very well. My previous keyboard was rather large and took a lot of space on my desk so I wanted to get something smaller. This HP keyboard does not take up a lot of room and it’s very light. The keys are very quiet which is great for when you have lots of people around in the office! I initially got it for when I work from home, however decided to swap the keyboard round as I go to the office 4 days a week so wanted to get more use out of my new keyboard.I have looked at the programmable keys, however it seemed like a lot of hassle – there are icons on the keys already so I thought if I started changing those to something else I wouldn’t be able to remember which key does what as the icon would show something different… The only one that I have set up is the calculator, which originally was shown incorrectly on the HP Accessory Centrs App. According to the diagram it was programmed to the key that is the ‘Num Lock’ key on the actual keyboard but the picture on the app was showing it as a calculator button… Anyway, it did not work, so I have set it up under a different key, in a similar place where the calculator button was on my Microsoft keyboard, as I am used to having it in that place. Also, I find the ‘lock’ button slightly annoying! It’s in the top right hand corner, just above the numerical keyboard. There was no keys there on my previous keyboard, so I am used to the minus key being in that place. I keep pressing it and locking myself out. I could change it but again, the icon is there so makes sense to keep it and I will just have to get used to it.
