    Great product
This Shelly 1PM is a quality product.Shelly products just work how they should. I feel they are a trustworthy brand and you can actually trust the stated specifications unlike a lot of other IOT brands.I’ve fitted this in my “Fusebox” consumer unit and it fits without any modifications to the cover etc.I’ve connected this one via WiFi and it despite the metallic enclosure it is installed in, I haven’t had any issues with the connection. (WiFi signal is good tho). However I’ve also installed many of these using the Ethernet port. This is certainly my preferred method when installing for clients or installing lots of them, as you can’t beat the reliability of a wired connection. If installing wired ethernet cable in the UK you’ll need to consider:BS7671 Regulation 528.1 – Segregation of circuitsSpecifically, this includes the requirement that:“Where cables of different circuits are installed in the same wiring system or enclosure, the insulation of all conductors shall be suitable for the highest voltage present.”Basically standard Ethernet cable doesn’t have the required insulation specifications to be in close proximity to the mains voltage cable. You can get special Cat5 cable that does, or you could perhaps install some additional insulation over the cable. When installing them you have to consider the terminal capacity and you will likely need to use connectors in a lot of cases as the terminals will only accept a single conductor if you’re using 2.5mm or larger. The terminals have a maximum torque of 0.4Nm which is quite low. I purchased a smaller torque screwdriver to ensure I didn’t exceed this, I think a lot of the issues you see others complain about with Shelly products are caused by not following this instructions when installing. The app set up is straightforward, with multiple options to set up, including Bluetooth or scanning local network etc.The Shelly app is good, but Shelly excel at integrating with other systems such as home assistant. I’ve also used home assistant to get them to work with Apple HomeKit. You also can use these completely locally so they don’t need a cloud if you want.I’ve got this set to come on when I have cheap electricity rates to charge my partners car via the 13 amp plug she has for it. It also records energy usage and does so on time based tariffs well.I wouldn’t hesitate to buy more of these in the future

    Versatile relay module
I use a lot of Shelly devices and this Shelly Pro 4PM relay module is just what I needed. I am using two of them together with Home Assistant to control 8 UFH zone actuators for the heating at home. I wanted Ethernet because wi-fi would not be rliable where they are located. My only negative comment would be that I am using them inside a small consumer unit and the depth of the modules is insufficient for the display to protrude through the slot in the way MCBs do.Functionally the modules are great!

    Capable, well made and works
I’ve used plenty of Shelly devices in the past, and was eagerly awaiting the launch of the 4Pro. Although the screw terminals could be slightly higher quality, there’s nothing wrong with them and they function well. The device is plastic construction and appears well made. Once in the consumer unit, the display looks great and the buttons operate as expected. Pay attention to the wiring guide first, though, as the Shelly doesn’t ‘common’ any of the feeds: each channel effectively requires a dedicated L and N feed (no PE).

    Brilliant
More of this Shelly stuff – awesome automation.I use this one for outside of my home lighting control.Has automatic dawn/dusk control – turn all lights out in day time.Use wifi PIRs to turn the right lights on outside.Siri, Alexa etc can be used, even without IFTTT.

Not bad, but not really pro level either
Nice for use with a little consumer unit on the side that’s already protected by its own RCD. Sort of plasticky, and the back comes off very easily. Probably a better solution than having small Shellys mounted inside a CU, but not a groundbreaking product.

Very cool unit. I’m using it to control the lighting in my farm shop, the lights on the exterior of the shop, and also to trigger my electric door strike for the walk-through door and its programmed to turn the lights on if they’re not already on. The coolest part is I have the fourth channel controlling a 60 amp contact closure relay to send power to my fuel barrels in my farm yard. This way no one can steal fuel All I have to do is open the app press the button and I have it programmed to shut off after 30 minutes. It works so slick! I really wish the unit had normally closed and/or dry contacts. Every output controls an additional relay because I’m either controlling 220 volts or the amperage exceeds the rating of the contacts. So the wattage function of the unit is useless in my situation. Outside of that, it works every time. I’ve since bought another one I’m going to wire it up to control my three-button overhead commercial door. The app to control this is very solid. If you’re not patient or tech-minded you’re going to struggle with this unit but stick with it and you’ll get it. I’m completely hooked on these Shelly devices. I’m thinking of other ways I can use them like a timer to turn off my battery chargers for my Milwaukee tools so they don’t blow up overnight. Currently wiring up exterior lights of my home on timers within the Shelly. My wife just rolls her eyes but I’m having fun! 🙂

Fungerar som tänkt utan problem. Känns lite lätt och plastig och hade kunnat vara lite kraftigare plintar för kabel. Funktionsmässigt mycket bra.

Excellent product, but..there’s a small issue.Shelly’s app needs subscription unless only 1 device.

Integreert heel mooi met mijn SMA energie management systeem, en dit voor een relatief goedkope prijs. Ik heb er 2 aangeschaft maar er komen er zeker nog meer later…
