Useful when you’ve limited Wi-Fi and need something more stable
This works well enough by passing the power through a Micro USB port, although the 100Mbps can limit the bitrate of the stream especially if you are doing this on a local LAN and a high bitrate 4K file, via Plex or Emby for example.Certainly having a wired connection really helps when your Wi-Fi connection speeds are limited and unstable.For the price it’s an inexpensive solution if you have such a problem.

Works perfectly plug and play, smaller and are more durable than the Amazon version.
I got this for my FireTV stick. Connecting it up is simple, plug it into the Micro USB port on the FireTV stick, connect the power cable to the micro USB port on this adapter. Plug in an ethernet cable connected to your Internet connection. Everything happened automatically. The FireTV stick realised it had a wired connection and switched to that, and it worked perfectly.The unit itself is smalled than the Amazon original version. This also has a metal case instead of the plastic case of the original. So by every measure this is a better product than the original. At £8.99 it is a good price. If you have the option to wire your streaming devices I always recommend you do so as it improves the stability of the connection and frees up wireless bandwith for things taht you can’t use wires for.

Fire stick ethernet adaptor
Works with my old Fire TV stick lite. It’s in a wifi low spot but there is ethernet. This seems to have made it mire stable.Fits into the power socket on the Fire stick, then the power cable goes in to the ethernet adaptor.Handy solution for an old Fire stick that’s not picking up enough wifi.

Simply plugs into your fire tv stick where the power adapter connects, you plug the power adapter into this along with a network wire, and boom, stable wired network connection.For £9 at time of writing this seems reasonably priced, and so far works fine – will update if any issues emerge.Power users may want to seek a unit with gigabit network speed, although this is limited by the usb interface of the fire tv stick to 480mb – in practice, 100meg as this supplies is plenty for almost anyone.

LAN dongle
Used with a fire stick where this also passes through power to the one micro USB port, giving a wired networking option. Though this limits you to 100Mbps, unless you have full fibre then it is sufficient and certainly still plenty to stream in HD or 4K. At £8.99 when ordering, this is also a fair bit cheaper than the “official” equivalent dongle.So if the stability of a wired connection is needed, this should do the job. Note that in operation, only once the physical connection is made does ethernet show up in the networking menu and the switch is made, while unplugging the cable will cause an automatic return to wifi, with the menu item disappearing. If using this permanently then can switch off the stick’s wifi.

Well-made and effective device.
With the WiFi in our property a bit patchy in areas, and our main TV in one of those patchy areas, easy solution to get stable connection with our Fire Stick 4K Max. We are gradually hard wiring areas of the house that have fixed equipment, to get more reliable internet operation than depending on WiFi.Easy setup, plug the Micro USB lead on the device into the side of the Fire Stick, then connect the power and Ethernet connection to the device, change settings as appropriate and you are done.Well-made and effective device.

Cheap as chips, remove issues with wifi
I sometimes get a little buffering on my firestick, I suspect its due to my wifi being heavily used.This allows me to plug into the firestick, and also take power from a USB A slot then plug in an ethernet cable, since running this setup I have not seen any buffering issues
