Too long for sockets
I ordered the Sintron Wall Mount Holder for Echo Dot 3 as I have a few Alexa devices around the home and this seemed an ideal way of keeping them clear of work surfaces.When I got the holder out of the box it was rather more ‘plasticky’ than I was imagining, I would have preferred it to have been matt black rather than shiny which made it look cheap. It’s basically a hard-shell unit and nothing more. We had a few attempts at what sequence you needed to place things in the frame. My advice is thread the jack end of your Alexa cable through first, position the Echo Dot so that the ports are at the top where the cable has come through and attach the jack plug to the Dot, wind the cable around the maze at the back of the unit and then place the plug in position.I really wanted this for the kitchen but the plug heights meant that I couldn’t plug it in as the unit is too long and there is no way to reposition the plug in the frame. Unless you have higher sockets then this isn’t going to work for you. It’s a shame that they don’t make another unit to point the Echo up rather than down so you have the choice, depending on your preference.I’d buy some more but I’d be limited on where I could plug them. But if their position works for you then they are a good idea.
