More battery and a sleek design
Mobvoi slightly changed the design with the Atlas model. The big rotating crown sure makes the watch a bit fancier. The Atlas model has a different layout where we can see the word ‘MENUE’ written in orange. And also an arrow that points to the second button. Also the watch crown has numbers around it. These couple of features were missing on the last year model which made the watch less visually appealing. These improvements are making a statement even when the watch is set on Essential Mode. It will definitely look good on a casual outfit. With this new model I feel there is a better internet/Bluetooth connectivity which makes the watch feel more fluid when operating it. I haven’t experienced any lag and the automatic sport modes are working fine in most cases. I will have to try it while cycling. On WhatsApp you can text my tapping, swiping or talking. The setting menu has been improved, now the WiFi having its own button. As you can see from the photos the watch is a slight slimmer compared to the last year version (Pro5, the one with metal bracelet). If you had some screen protectors from the last year watch they will perfectly fit on this one.Battery wise, for me it performed well. On an average use the watch lasted over 3 days and a half. Of course the battery usage is dictated by your WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth and other sensors. I like to keep my watch on airplane mode while at home, but when working, I receive all notifications and all other functions when I train. It’s charging abilities are performing well, this model is still using the the same adaptor as the past models. While in day light the screen clarity is noticeable and there are no issues whatsoever. The touchscreen is responsive and there is no lag when using. The size of the watch is perfect for thicker wrists but not so much for slim ones. I would love it Mobvoi would have two size, though the large screen makes the difference.NFC payment is working well, no issues there.Overall it is a good purchase. If you are in sports, outdoor activities or if you want a big screen to receive messages, email, etc while paired with a modern design then this watch is for you.

The Medical device (watch) is very good and reliable watch to have!
Thank you so much, Amazon for today and for getting rid of these silly passwords at the front door that are of no use to anyone. Medical Watch is all up and working hope now I will have a good NHS to give me the Pods that I need to be keeping alive! On the first review, the watch seems brilliant. Will let you know if it is as good as the last watch I had been the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra watch It was also a very reliable watch to have had and worn and trusted!

Great watch but.
Quality of watch construction is fantastic, thats where it pretty much ends for me. After hours of fails when I tried to connect I finally managed to get it connected, then time after time it would fail to sync with phone. Added to that the battery life for me was a major issue, within hours it had dropped to 80%, it got to the stage where I was turning off the raise to wake, sensors etc. Not only that but in bright sunlight it was pretty much unreadable, I have returned and gone back to my Huawei. Even at the £100 reduced price for me it was a no from me.

My Love-Hate Affair with the TicWatch Atlas: It’s Like Dating a Superhero with Commitment Issues
Alright, buckle up buttercups, because I’ve spent the last two months strapped to the ruggedly handsome TicWatch Atlas, and it’s been a rollercoaster of “almost amazing.” This thing feels like it could survive a zombie apocalypse, which is great because sometimes navigating its menus feels like one.First off, the screen? Chef’s kiss! It’s the Goldilocks of watch faces on my wrist â not too big, not too small, and bright enough to see even if the sun decides to stage a comeback. The crown? Oh, the crown! It’s so satisfyingly clicky and responsive, I sometimes just spin it for fun (don’t judge). And the dual screen? Genius! That low-power LCD keeps all the essentials front and center, like a loyal little digital butler whispering sweet nothings (like my step count) all day long. The watch is generally snappier than a caffeinated squirrel, with zero lag in my experience. Seriously, I love this watch… in theory. Now, let’s talk about the gremlins in the system. Switching between essential, sleep, and smartwatch modes sometimes feels like a digital three-card monte game, occasionally ending with a forced restart. It’s like the watch gets stage fright and needs a moment to compose itself. The battery life, bless its optimistic heart, promised more than it delivered. I squeezed out a respectable 3-4 days in smartwatch mode with all the bells and whistles on (LCD always on, tilt-to-wake lighting up the LCD like a disco ball). Essential mode only gave me eight days, and that included two unexpected naps where the watch refused to wake up without a digital nudge (read: restart). It’s like it enjoys its beauty sleep a little too much.Navigation can be smooth sailing… until you hit a rogue wave. Picture this: you’re deep-sea diving through the menus, finally about to find that one setting, and BAM! You swipe back, and the watch yeets you all the way back to the home screen. It’s the digital equivalent of finally reaching the snack aisle only to be teleported back to the entrance. I’m crossing my fingers this is a Wear OS 4 quirk that Wear OS 5 will politely evict.Speaking of Wear OS 5, the silence on that front is deafening. Wear OS 4 is decent, don’t get me wrong, but the promise of optimized battery life in the newer version has me feeling like a kid waiting for Christmas… that might never come.On the bright side, connecting to my phone is smoother than a Barry White song, never a dropped connection in sight. The TicWatch app is about as feature-rich as a blank piece of paper, but thankfully, the watch itself is brimming with useful data. The Verdict: The TicWatch Atlas is like that incredibly attractive and adventurous friend who occasionally forgets their keys and talks to squirrels. It’s got so much potential and gets so much right, but those little bugs are the persistent mosquito in an otherwise perfect camping trip. I genuinely love it, but Mobvoi, please, for the love of all that is digital, squash those bugs and give us some Wear OS 5 love!

Setup
Set up is not easy, I had a lot of errors. Basically uninstall ‘wear’ from your phone (if installed from previous Ticwatch or other watches). Make sure your phone is connected to WiFi & the charging cable is connected. A rather long system update is required, an hour or 2 & eventually after the system saying there was an error it re-boooted & worked….from there on all good & so far impressed.

5 estrelas

For decades, I’ve been an on and off watch wearer, sometimes going months without bothering. Mobvoi changed all that for me in 2019 when I purchased a “buddy bundle” which included a Pro (OG edition) and a C2. Since then, a Ticwatch has been a fixture on my wrist, helping me keep my phone in my pocket as much as possible!I’ve had the opportunity to enjoy using multiple Mobvoi watches, including the Pro, the C2, the E3, the Pro 3 Ultra GPS, the Pro 5 and now the Atlas! In my photos, I included side by side comparisons between the E3, the Pro 3 Ultra, the Pro 5 and the Atlas. The Atlas is a very rugged-looking watch, with added details on the body and around the watch face, including a textured “grip” on the left side of the watch, pronounced notches and “dips” around the bezel, highly visible markings indicating the crown is the Menu, a more visible red ring on the outside of the crown instead of at the top of the crown, and arrows pointing at the location of the secondary button and of the microphone. The crown functions as a scroll, so spinning it up/down allows you to navigate the menu. The 24mm watchband (fluorocarbon) matches the rugged look, with notches and a deep channel where they connect to the watch, and a Y pattern on the rest of the band and two watchband keepers to keep the strap in place. It looks good, and despite it feeling a little stiff when you hold it, it feels good on the wrist. I thought the wavy texture on the underside of the band would bother me, but I can’t feel it at all.Overall, specs are identical to the Pro 5, but it’s worth mentioning the display glass is sapphire and not Gorilla Glass as with previous watches. This is important as sapphire glass is much more scratch resistant than Gorilla Glass. And, although I have no way to objectively test this, it does feel smoother when swiping compared to my Pro 5, which uses Gorilla Glass. What we will see is whether sapphire glass is going to hold up to accidental hits. I’ve experienced this with my previous watches and have either scratched the Gorilla glass a bit, or in earlier watches, broken a screen protector.Battery life is of course phenomenal compared to other smartwatches. The dual screen helps greatly with that, as you can check time and basic stats without enabling the screen. As for days of usage, first thing I did was enable all the sensors and set them to run at regular intervals. Despite all sensors being on, and with tons of notifications and the occasional phone call, on average the watch gives me 3 days before needing to charge. It roughly amounts to about 30% of battery each day. And charging is very fast, so you can easily go from zero to 100% in less than 2 hours. The watch also uses what’s become the standard Ticwatch magnetic charging cable, so I can leave a cable on my nightstand and have a second one for use when away from home.Call quality when using the watch is acceptable. And let’s be reasonable, a tiny speaker and mic are not going to sound as full as a call on our cell phones. But it works just fine! I can hear the caller well and they can understand me without issue. It’s very practical to have, particularly if you’re working with your hands when you get a call. For those concerned with weight, the Atlas is 47 grams, which is only 3 grams heavier than the Pro 5. And as you can see in the photos, it’s a good size for my wrist, which is about 8cm in circumferece. I also included a photo of the watch on a smaller wrist, 6.5cm, so you can compare looks. On the software side, it comes with WearOS 4.0. Although this is not the latest WearOS version (5.0 was released back in August), it’s no surprise that this watch doesn’t come with it out of the box. But I’m confident that Mobvoi will provide the update, just as they did with previous watches models. Question is how long will it take before OS 5 is made available. The watch was super-easy to setup. As soon as I logged into Google, my current watch setup was transferred over. Of course, I tweaked a few things but for the most part, it was ready to go in a few minutes. For detection functions, new features include over 100 activity/sport modes, improved activity detection, a heat-map mode for sports, and fall detection. You can also enable fall detection to trigger an SOS call, and even select one of your contacts as the emergency call destination. I didn’t test triggering this function, but I might just dive into my bed, see if it triggers it and calls my spouse :-)Some wants:* Although I love the second screen, I wish there was a way to adjust the brightness. It’s not a problem during the day, but my eyes get blasted when I am asleep and happen to move my wrist near my face. You can manually enable Bedtime mode to turn off the tilt-to-wake and touch screen option, but you have remember to enable it before you go to sleep and remember to disable it when you wake up.* Being able to autoenable Bedtime Mode based on the phone’s sleep detection setup would be fantastic. And it would definitely solve the issue above.* It’s easy enough to charge the watch with the provided cable, but it would be great to be have wireless charging.* I miss Google Assistant on my watch. Still hopeful it will make a comeback!
