The Echo Show 21 is just a brilliant device.
Now I had the Echo Show 15 since the summer and absolutely loved it but wished it was a bit bigger. Then out of nowhere Amazon brings out the Echo Show 21.The Echo Show 15 and 21 acts like a hub so the Home Screen has so many widgets which make it a versatile unit.I love that I can sync my Gmail calendar so can see at a glance what is coming up as that is a widget on the screen. It shows your smart home devices, like cameras, light bulbs etc and they can be controlled from the device. Shopping lists, weather and you can add random sticky notes if you need a reminder.Watching tv on this is easy, so many choices like, Prime, Disney plus and now ITVx, only missing bbc iplayer but this can be watched through Silk (the echos search engine)The sounds is great and really clear, just missing a bit of base.Making video calls is a joy, no straining to see the screen and I can make phone calls also, I think you can add 10 numbers but donât quote me on that. All round a great Echo device, absolutely the best yet and Iâm glad I got it. Highly recommended. A review earlier mentions BBC iplayer and that it doesnât work. I tried it the other day, put it on through Silk, went for an hour run and it was still playing, I then left it on for another 2 hours, so 3 hours + of uninterrupted, no buffering viewing, I think if you have issues then itâs the internet connection/speed.

Best Echo device Yet.
Received today and had it up and running in 10 minutes. After careful consideration and reading all the reviews, I am extremely pleased with the purchase and this is by far the best Echo yet. (Have had multiple Amazon devices prior).Screen quality is excellent and I was very surprised with the speaker quality and glad I waited because the speakers on the 1st Gen came under severe criticism. This is replacing my Echo Show 10 and I am aware that the speakers in the 2nd Gen Echo Show 15 will not match the sound quality of the Echo Show 10 because I believe the Echo Show 10 had a bigger lower frequency woofer so better for music. I will however consider using Bluetooth speakers to maximise the system with the Echo 15.I read many of the criticisms about lack of widgets but for me, there was enough. A âlargeâ calendar widget is available which is certainly good enough for my needs and the favourites Smart Home widget allows quick access to all my Ring Cameras through the Touchscreen without having to keep using voice commands. My wife shares my Prime benefits as a member of my Household Account and I was also very pleased that I can sync my iPhone Calendar and my wifeâs (separate) iPhone Calendar both to the Echo 15 so the Calendar displays both lots of information. I had read multiple reports with mixed views whether this was possible but I can confirm it is without issue. Just have to mess around getting App specific password through Apple.Fire Stick integration is great especially as I use Amazon Prime & Netflix more than regular TV.Overall a great but of kit and perfect for the kitchen and definitely worth investing in the desktop stand which although expensive is heavy and swivels very smoothly. My only criticisms are that I wish a proper genuine Amazon white bezel was available and I wish the Alexa App had a better user interface because it is still in my view pretty poor and takes a lot of navigation to set up routines and get my multiple Echos set up as I want. The Echo 15 2nd Gen is not cheap but exceeded my expectation.

Bigger is better.
plenty of youtube vids to show what it does. I upgraded from the 1st gen 15 to this 21. As my eye sight deteriorates iâm finding it harder to see smaller detail. These gadgets boil down to what you want them for. Itâs in the kitchen so everyone can use it.For me personally, having an alexa in every room. i find the screen to double as a tv very useful. no bbc but thatâs fine by me. I can see all my cameras just by saying show me the cameras ( i have 4 and a door bell)Music sounds good, but if you want bass thumping stereo quality then go buy a dedicated music system.Overall this is a good quality media centre with lots of uses all in one place.only gripe is it could do with a widget for UK news headlines, that seems aimed at the American market more.

A great piece of tech that looks great and functions effortlessly.
A great addition to our kitchen. It is mainly used as a photoframe to view our photos on OneDrive via the Skyfolio App. It also acts as a great hub, to view calendars, control smart devices and watch online movie and TV content via the many apps. A great piece of tech that looks great and functions effortlessly.

Pretty good but not perfect
As a piece of hardware, I think it is really good. Itâs a bit chunky but does look really nice on the side with the picture frame style and a decent screen and good sound. The software implementation still needs some development to bring it up to par. Things like a smart home hub dashboard and easy access to run routines at the click of a button are not fully implemented. A Philips hue widget would be nice.
