SMART HOME HUB CONTROL – The RM Mini3 Wi-Fi Hub transforms your smartphone into a universal remote for TVs, air conditioners, fans, and other infrared devices. Manage traditional appliances through the BroadLink app’s unified interface.
INFRARED CONTROL – Support 50,000+ IR controlled devices such as TV, STB, Video Recorder, DVD and more. You can choose preset remote panels for instant setup or build custom panels by teaching this IR blaster your remote’s codes. Note: Bluetooth and RF devices are not supported.
REMOTE CONTROL ANYWHERE – Adjust your living room air conditioner from the office or turn off forgotten bedroom lights while traveling. Create custom scenes like “Home Mode” (lights on, AC preset) or “Away Mode” (all devices off) through the BroadLink app.
VOICE CONTROL WITH ALEXA – “Alexa, turn on the fan!” or “Hey Google, switch to HDMI 1!” Pair the RM Mini3 with Alexa or Google Home to control IR devices via voice. Requires enabling the BroadLink skill/service in your voice assistant app.
SET SMART ROUTINES – “7 AM: Gentle music fills the room as your speaker powers on. 8 PM: Lights dim and the TV switches to your favorite channel—automatically.” Create custom schedules in the app to sync IR devices like audio systems, TVs, or ACs with your daily rhythm. Whether it’s sunrise wake-ups or cozy movie nights, your home always adapts to you.
2.4GHz Wi-Fi CONNECTION – Set up via standard Wi-Fi networks (2.4GHz only, mesh router is not supported). Use simple network names under 32 characters. For optimal performance, ensure a clear line of sight between the RM Mini3 and your devices (avoid blocking objects).

Customers say

Customers find the smart home hub to be worth the purchase and appreciate its universal remote control capabilities, with one customer noting it can manage a wide range of infrared devices seamlessly. The functionality receives mixed feedback – while it works well with Alexa, some customers report it doesn’t work at all. Setup experiences are also mixed, with some finding it easy to set up while others find it frustratingly difficult. Moreover, the WiFi connectivity is problematic, with many customers reporting issues connecting to WiFi, and one customer noting it only works on 2.4GHz networks. Additionally, the device lacks a power plug, and customers have mixed opinions about its size.

A superb remote-help for dementia sufferers
I was pointed towards this product on the Alzheimer’s UK forum. My Mum has dementia and is now struggling to remember how to use the remote control panels for her TV and Sky box. This has been an absolutely brilliant addition and works perfectly. It sits alongside the Ring indoor camera, so I can see her TV across the room clearly enough to use this device to change channels for her. I have it set up with:- her Samsung TV- her Sky box- her Roku player, for Prime, Netflix etcI can change the source of the TV, to switch between the Sky box and the Roku player and the ability to map buttons individually means I can also adjust the volume, pause, rewind, browse through the TV guide menus etc as well. For £23 this is a real game changer for me and my Mum.I just watched a couple of tutorials on YouTube to get it setup, which didn’t take long. I’m also going to map it to her electric fire as well, so I can turn that on and off for her as needed, when I’m not there. Would highly recommend!

A simple yet effective tool for your Alexa smart control home.
Only downside is the supplied lead, which is quite short. The device is easy to set up and works well for turning on/off devices and turning up/down the volume. Some features, like changing the channel, don’t necessarily respond. This is dependent on the remote you are using being specifically recognised by the Broadlink app. For example my LG t.v responds via Alexa because Broadlink app recognises LG t.v. On the other hand, my freeview box is Bush, which isn’t in the list of Broadlink app recognised manufacturers. Nevertheless, you can easily programme your remote into the device, which will operate the none officially recognised device, in my case the Bush freeview, via the Broadlink app. Most functions of my t.v can be controlled via Alexa. The Bush Freeview via Alexa is on/off, volume up and down, which for me is good enough because as I have mentioned, you can control all functions via the app.One last consideration, whichever devices you want to control, in my case, t.v, freeview and stereo, the RM Mini3 has to have an unobstructed line of sight with the IR sensor on the device it is controlling. This is why in my opinion the suppled lead is too short as it limits where you can mount the Mini3, which might not give the unobstructed line of sight I made mention of. In my case, I simply used some double sided tape to stick it under a wall mounted speaker, bought a 3m lead for ï¿¡6, which would reach to the plug and bingo.

    Works on some items
I recently bought a LED light strip & foolishly didn’t buy one that was Alexa compatible, so I bought this instead. And it does what it says, controls anything that is IR, i use it for controlling the LED lights & switching on / off the sound bar. It’s a shame it doesn’t do RF frequancy but then again that would have cost more.So yeah if you need an IR controller, this one works fine.

Refuses to connect when adding a new device
At first all went well, even though it coped well finding Samsung TV, Yamaha AV and Humax Freeview, it was a pain to set up. Once working it was fine, though Alex could only handle basic commands, such as turn tv on, change channel on TV, she was unable to do anything with the Yamaha AV and would only turn on Freeview box.Decided after a couple of days to add a New AV device (Sony), and the nightmare begins, to add device you have to put it in pairing mode, then all of a sudden it can no longer find Network, even if it was sitting 2 inches away from router, no matter what I did it wold no longer connect.Emailed support for help 5 days ago, still awaiting for some form of response from themDecided it was no longer worth the effort and binned itGood if it worked, but utter rubbish when it does not, and Broadlink support is the worst I have come across in a long time.

A Compact and Affordable Smart Home Controller
As a user of various smart home products, I recently added the RM Mini3 to my setup, and I’m genuinely impressed by its capabilities. It is tiny and you might miss it if you didn’t know it was there. It is compatible with a wide range of devices, including TVs, air conditioners, DVD players, and more. It acts as a universal remote control, making it easy to integrate your existing non-smart/dumb devices into your smart home ecosystem. It has all the functions for my TV, 4k Blu Ray play and air con unit and a “community” user had uploaded the commands for my Xbox. You can create “routines” from with in the app or via your smart home eco system (Alexa, Google etc.)The main reason for buying it was a a back up to my Logitech Harmony Elite, which Logitech no long make and provide limited support for. I have started using the Broadlink app more that the Harmony app. Also the IR learning is better than the Harmony hub.The only negative I have so far is, there was no plug/adapter supplied.

I bought this device to have a smart infra red control over the TV and led light.I have 2 routers with 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz at home. The reco.endation from broadlink , during installation to have only one router on with 2.4Ghz only. I tried to do a connection without 5g disable and second router off. And I did it. There is 2 way ,how to install the device. The first smart mode doesn’t work for me. The second mode, AP mode, was better. After reset , modes are swapping. So in AP mode , device create wifi signal, I connected to the broadlink wifi ,start adding a new device ,connect to 2.4Ghz internet network from configuration and just after turned off from broadlink wifi and connect to my home internet wifi, and it is works! Little be complicated. Also to press the reset you need metal needle, like for the sim cart. Charger not included. But after complicated installation everything is clear. Easy to add devices, alexa immediately recognize the devices. All works fine. So Iam still really recommend to buy this device. I ordered 2 more.
