Great for listening to music BUT to talk on the phone they are terrible! They echo and make the sound distorted and Mom can not understand me at all.

The instructions were a little weak, but otherwise, these glasses have been a joy. The sound is pretty good for something that’s not covering your ear or in your ear. I like that you can still hear other things going on around you with these on. They connect via Bluetooth easily. They do protect your eyes from the sun as well. The buttons take a few minutes to memorize, but it’s pretty easy. There are only three buttons. One slight drawback is that even at mid-level volume, in a quiet room, other people can hear them. Another small drawback is that I didn’t see a light that indicates they are charging, low on charge, or that charging is done. There may be one, but I couldn’t find it. There are pairing lights. I was afraid the stems would look bulky, but they really don’t. They pass as regular sunglasses. There is definitely a place for these and they make a good choice over other options in certain scenarios.

Great little pair of bluetooth speaker embedded in a UV400 sunglasses. It looks sharp, and has intense and good looking orange shade on the lens, with the speaker openings face downward from the temples that obscures its own presence. The glasses has a nice rubbery coating to it frame, with relatively angular edges that just look and feel nice. Unless you hear sound coming out of the speakers, nobody will be able to tell this pair has hidden talents.As speakers, the sound coming out of the temples is relatively thin. Do not expect any bass from it. It is good for background or light music. It won’t bump or shake from heavy bass passages but you can hear plenty well from it because the speakers are so close to the ears. For me, it actually works well with my iPhone as an external headset. With the “announce/read message” function enabled on my iPhone, the glasses will announce incoming message and read them to me without me having to turn on my phone. On a sunny afternoon in the park, hanging with family, this allows you to listen to your messages and even light music without the obnoxious earbuds in your ears, looking like you are trying to alienate everyone around you.The glasses also comes with built-in mics…which you should avoid. I have had two telephone conferences while wearing this pair and pepole on the other end reported hearing constant shuffling sound on my end (and if you are on Zoom. the app shows my mic is constantly active because of the flashing green boxes around your own image. It turns out the mic, because it is embedded inside the frame, transmits every little movement on your head as if someone is rubbing their finger against the frame. You can hold absolutely still and the sound will go away, but if you are wearing shades while outdoors, and whether you are walking or driving, the mic will pick up all those annoying rubbing noises. Perhaps they needed to do a better job isolating the mic or reprogram it to tune out those noises. But with this issue, the mic is not usable unless you are sitting absolutely still while speaking.All in all, great features and very practical for outdoor use, but temper your expectation on the mics. It’s a spiffy and utilitarian toy. One star off for the noisy mic for an otherwise cool gadget.
