A colour printer, copier and scanner for only £68
I loved this printer from the moment it printed its first page. Setup was a breeze. The included instructions show you how to remove the protective packing from inside the printer and install the ink cartridges. All very easy stuff, with clear diagrams and instructions. Once you have done that, the instructions direct you to the Canon website to continue setup.Setting up the printer to work with your computer is very easy. Canon have a user friendly website that you go to and you just click the buttons and follow the on screen instructions. The setup software is automatic and takes about five minutes to download the required drivers and install them on your computer. The setup software works nicely with Windows 10 and after it had completed, my applications saw the new printer.Print quality is good, even though it is just an inkjet and you can’t beat the added value of a builtin scanner and copier for only £68. Amazing value for money. I tried the copier on its black and white setting and got a reasonable copy, obviously it doesn’t compare with more expensive copiers, but still very useful though. I have yet to try out the scanner.I wish I had bought one with a white case as the black printer casing does seem to attract dust and it looks like I will forever be wiping it down with a damp cloth.Verdict: Great value for money. This printer won’t disappoint you.

Good value printer with some small compromises.
I bought this as an extra printer and was attracted by the low price.Excellent print quality and colour fidelity.Accepting the low price means there are certain features which I miss from my other canon printers.It is slightly less convenient.For instance:It does not have a paper tray, so you have to load paper manually each time. (This is why I give only 3 stars for “Ease of Use”)The build quality, and particularly the thinness of the plastic, works perfectly well, but feels more fragile than my other printers.Overall it works well and it has many of the great benefits and qualities that we have come to expect from all Canons products.

Easy set up
In draft mode, the print quality is more than good enough for day-to-day work, allowing ink saving. First print from start up is quite quick. Ink pricing is lower than average and XL cartridges are much more cost effective.But when it comes to manual duplex printing, Canon has missed an opportunity to make it easier. With manual duplex you have to turn the pages over and re-feed them. A helpful message on the PC screen makes sure you know what to do to align the pages correctly. Buy why, oh why, didn’t they program the “OK” button on the printer to let you start printing once you have done that? You have to click the virtual button on the PC – which in my set up means moving back to the printer from the spare room that has the printer in it. Fortunately my need for duplex printing is minimal but is a point to consider. It still gets 5 stars.

Tra documenti e carte importanti da tenere in forma cartacea se si è stanchi di affidarsi alle edicole per la stampa si può tranquillamente investire in questa stampante ottima anche per scansioni.Istruzioni molto semplici da seguire, stampante molto intuitiva.Installazione sia su computer che su app molto semplice. L’app, PRINT, funziona senza intoppi sui nostri dispositivi android.Suggerirei di controllare la qualità di stampa ed eventualmente fare le dovute modifiche prima di mandare in stampa file e documenti utili. E’ possibile fare tutto anche attraverso l’app del telefono.Questa stampante è adatta anche alla stampa di foto, nella scatola abbiamo trovato 3 fogli per foto canon e abbiamo provato a stamparne una rimanendo molto soddisfatti. Dall’app, una volta selezionati l’immagine o il file, è possibile regolari i bordi, eliminarli, decidere se stampare a colori o in bianco e nero e decidere il tipo di fogli da utilizzare per la stampa (anche per le foto).Un po’ scomoda la funzione fronte retro che prevede 2 fasi di stampa a pagine alterne.1) si manda in stampa in fronte retro il file che inizierà a stampare a pagine alterne per foglio (pagina 1,3,5,7…ecc.)2) prendere il malloppo stampato, capovolgerlo e rimettere gli stessi fogli di nuovo in stampa per far stampare le pagine mancanti sul lato del foglio ancora bianco (pagina 2,4,6,8… ) e alla fine si avranno le pagine in ordine.Se uno di questi passaggi si interrompe per x motivo si rischia di far pastrocchio e sprecare un sacco di fogli e inchiostro, uguale se si confonde il verso in cui rigirare il mucchio già stampato per rimandarlo in stampa per l’altra metà delle pagine.Per uso domestico è una stampante più che valida.

Siempre he sido consumidor de impresoras (por llamarme de alguna manera) low cost. O sea, que no busco rapidez en la impresión y ni en el scaneo, busco que funcione bien, o al menos de manera aceptable, que los cartuchos sean baratos y por supuesto que la impresora cuando la adquiero sea lo más barata posible, como ocurrió con ésta.Vengo de la familia HP, fiel seguidor hasta que hace poco la que compré hace 2 años y 2 meses dijo bye bye. Ya se sabe, la obsolescencia programada, cosa que antes no ocurría. Compré una HP DeskJet 2720 ( https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B0853NCGZ3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) de la cual ya puse mi comentario y la cual me dio verdaderos problemas y acabé devolviendo.Con ésta la cosa cambia como del dia a la noche. La instalación mediante la guia ápida te da opciones por si quieres instalarla mediante WiFi o mediante cable (que no trae pero al como siempre guardo cables de todo tipo ya lo tenía. La que devolví tampoco traía) por lo que decidí instalarla mediante cable. Imprimir mediante WiFi es lago que creo que nunca utilizaré pero que por probar después lo instalé y ya comentaré.La instalación puede hacerse mediante Drivers que nos vienen en un CD o mediante descarga de su web, yo hice ésto último, siempre es mejor instalar lo más reciente. Todo perfecto y en poco tiempo ya la tenía funcionando e imprimiendo.Pruebo el scaner y ahí sí que veo que el software o mejor dicho el diseño es algo confuso e incluso desfasado para los tiempos que corren pero sin problemas, nos permiten crear PDF’s con varios documentos, algo que necesito y que al principio casi dudé que pudiera hacerlo, pero sí, El scaneo bien aunque te das cuenta de que hay que poner el documento al revés de otras impresoras, o sea, la cabecera a la izquierda, pero sólo lo comento como curiosidad.¿Imprime rápido, normal, lento…?Y tengo que reconocer que lo hace más rápido de lo que yo esperaba. En realidad lo hace muyyyy rápido, sorprendido en este aspecto (ojo, que hablo de una impresora doméstica)¿Scanea rápido, lento, normal, guarda rápido los documentos?Y de nuevo me sorprende que el scaner funciona bien y rápido, no de eterniza desde que empieza por el lado izquierdo y casi hay que empujarle para que llegue al lado derecho. No, de verdad, es rápida, al igual que el guardar el documento, al que podemos dejar que lo guarde en la ubicación por defecto (Documentos o Imágenes) o bien elegirla nosotros como también el nombre de salida.¿Permite imprimir sin encender el PC?Por supuesto, tanto en B/N como en Color, tan sólo pulsando una tecla.¿Que tal con el WiFi?Ya dije que no es una función que yo vaya a utilizar, lo he probado, claro, y la verdad es que es sencillo de configurar y funciona realmente bien.¿Que tal el consumo e tinta?En éste sentido no puedo ser muy objetivo, la tengo desde hace poco y con los cartuchos que trae de regalo pero ya llevo algunas páginas impresas y se comporta bastante bien. Es un aspecto que dado que la uso de manera doméstica y ocasional no le doy mucha importancia, lo que sí me importa es que el precio de los cartuchos sea económico. A veces incluso imprimo algo para que no se seque la tinta. El scaner es lo que más uso para guardar documentos.Me queda probar una cosa, que es dejarla encendida con el WiFi conectado e imprimir desde mi trabajo, o sea a distancia y no a 4 metros. Pero tan sólo como curiosidad, cuando lo haga editaré mi comentario y lo comentaré, valga la redundancia.Resumiendo: de momento contento con la compra, todo correcto y mejor de lo esperado. Leo comentarios adversos y lamento que algunos usuarios tengan mala experiencia, que no es mi caso.Casi se me olvidaba: de regalo Canos nos obsequia con 3 láminas de papel fotográfico en formato cuadrado de 13×13 cm. Regalo bastante rácano por su parte, me parece a mi ¿verdad?
