Double sided and easy to secure
This is a really large landing pad for a drone – honestly I think I went overboard getting the 110cm version. I can’t get the full thing in a photo and gave up trying to get a photo of it on the grass.If you have ever had a pop up tent or kids ball pit it works with the same technology. The difference being that this is a flat circle so trying to get the pressure and the bend right is more than a little bit frustrating. It isn’t getting any easier either, I’ve used it 4 times now and getting it to collapse back down does result in liberal use of the Anglo Saxon.The circle has a blue side and an orange side. I am sure there is a reason for this but I am new to the whole drone flying thing so just go with the side that I like best (orange). There are also some reflective strips that you can chose to add to the circles surrounding the main target area. I didn’t bother with these as I only fly during daylight hours when the local bowling club don’t have players out.I did find the pegs easy enough to stamp in to the ground using my trainer clad foot. Much harder to remove them even though they have a good sized plastic piece at the top to help you get a grip on them. I ended up using the tabs on the rim of the circle that they fit through to help prise them back out.Works really well at keeping your drone out of any muck, mud or dust on your launch and landing spot. I did try it in their gravel car park so couldn’t drive the pegs in but because my drone is a 249g it is tiny compared to the pad I could just stand on one edge to keep it in place.Once in the bag it takes up little room and there is a should strap so it is easy to carry.

Be Warned – make sure you buy the correct size!!!!
I must admit I made a mistake ordering this on Amazon Vine. I thought I had clicked an order for the 55cm Landing Pad. But no, by mistake, I ordered the 110CM landing pad.Its absolutely enormous!!!! Look at the 2 photos. One with the carry bag and one with my droneIt arrives all scrunched up inside its own carry bag. Unzip the carry bag and out will spring (literally) the landing pad and open up to be about 6 times the size of the carry bag.The pad itself seems to be made of pretty decent fabric and all around the circumference is a springy metal strip that gives the landing pad its rigidity. There are 3 ground pegs that are designed to keep the landing pad in situ. Now for the 55cm size I would expect these 3 pegs will do the job well. However with the Ginormous 110cm sized landing pad I am not so sure that just 3 pegs would be enough, to keep it in place, in a windy environment.Getting the landing pad back into a size that will fit back into the carry bag is a bit of a game but I’ve tried it 4 times now and I have succeeded every time. But again in a windy outside environment this procedure would be a right P.I.T.A.Bottom line. If you have a Monster Big Drone then this pad will suit you well, but for most of us with 249 gram drones I think the 55cm pad will more than suffice. Plus the smaller pad is half the price and will be far easier to keep pegged to the ground and far easier to get back into the carry bag.I do not think it fair to deduct any stars, as had I ordered the 55cm size as I thought I had, the negatives above would not apply.So in summary. A really decent landing pad – just make sure you buy the size you actually need!

Huge but fun landing zone
My nephew has a quite small drone he got for his birthday which is absolutely dwarfed by the 110cm landing pad we used, but if you have space for it then why not? It comes folded up in a sturdy bag that makes it reasonable to carry about and works like those pop up tents. It takes a bit of practice but it pretty straightforward to pop back in the bag. The three pegs will hold it down in a reasonable weather conditions and if it’s too windy to hold it down then I think it’s too windy to fly the drone. It’s a great addition for anyone with a drone, of any size, though I would have got a smaller one to make it more a challenge to land on it.

This is a large mat, which you can put on the floor it doesn’t fold up, so your stuck with it which doesn’t even fit into a holdall bag, has no bag, no storage with it and it does fly away in the wind without the drone on it.I found it tricky to carry around with me whilst trying to fly my drone, on the soil it didn’t sit well on the park it didn’t sit well neither.its made of cheap material and I don’t recomend it.

The 110cm is HUGE.It comes in a bag about one third the size and unfolds to it’s full size.There is a bit of a knack to twisting and folding it to be able to get it back in the storage bag!!It comes with 3 pegs to secure it to the ground.The large size does stop debris from being whipped up during launch and landing.Very useful.

REFLEX CAMERA Drone Landing Pad 44″/110cm:I received the 110cm one.Somehow I expected it to be smaller, much like how it arrives in its carry case. This thing was huge! Almost 4 feet tall if you were to stand it on its side. My little DJI Neo would land safely on this even with the worst of pilots controlling it.As it came out of the case, I knew it would be a struggle to get it back in. Its one of those twisty jobs that you have to battle against when closing pop up tents. It went back in to the case on the first try but that was after 5 attempts at folding it.I was supposed to get 3 pegs with this but only received 2. The pegs were outside of the product case but still within the box so I guess they forgot to put it all in.I also received reflective stickers that I am not sure what to do with because there were no instructions with it.If I had to get this again, I would go for one that was half the size.
