Reliable smart bulbs that work like a charm!
These smart bulbs are fantasticâeasy to set up and work seamlessly with the Meross app you can download from the app store. I bought two for my living room lamps, and theyâve been perfect so far. The app is straightforward enough and makes changing the light colour or brightness effortless. For the price, theyâre excellent value, and a year in, theyâre still going strong. Highly recommended for smart home setups!

Amazing customer support
This bulb has been amazing, such a choice of colours and bright. Easy to set up using the meross app and integrates with Alexa. Unfortunately mine developed a fault at 11 months. Amazon put me in the right direction to get support and once I was in contact with meross support it was super easy to get it resolved. Unfortunately the bulb was not in stock so I was offered a refund instead of a replacement. I will certainly use meross again in the future.

Easy to setup and integrate with Alexa
Iâm in the process of smart enabling my home and bulbs play a key part to this. This Meross bulb was very easy to set up using their app and provided instructions. The process was easier than other bulbs Iâve used with SmartLife. I prefer to keep my control in one place but more of that later.Once setup on your WiFi the Meross app is very easy at controlling the light in/off, brightness and colour using an intuitive wheel arrangement. The app is nicely layer out and simple to understand. I set up a schedule very quickly enabling the light to be switched on at sunset and turn off at 10pm. However I couldnât seem to control the brightness and colour setting via a schedule which was a little disappointing. Scenes can be created with preset colour and brightness to easily set a mode light.For me though having a single place to control all my smart things is important and so Alexa integration was next on my list. Just add the Meross skill, sign-in and Alexa quickly discovered the new bulb. I found that the Alexa routines allowed me to set colour and brightness (unlike the schedules in the Meross app) which allowed me to set the bulb up as my front door light. The routine switches the bulb on at sunset at max brightness and daylight white. Then at 10pm I dim the light to 10% on a warm white setting. Then at 3am I have Alexa switch the light off. Works well giving me bright light when visitors typically arrive, then dimming later to avoid disturbing the neighbours. I would like to try linking this with a motion sensor so I could increase brightness for say 5 mins when motion detected.Long review but a nice bulb with a simple app that integrates with Alexa easily.

Excellent bulbs
I was a little wary of buying these as I use Apple HomeKit for my smart home and had read some reviews that they were hard to connect but I thought Iâd give it a try because they are so much cheaper that the Philips hue lights I have elsewhere. I bought six bulbs for the two light fittings in my lounge diner and I am so glad I did. Even with setting up six bulbs it took less than 30 minutes. I set them up directly in Apple and then the Meross app picked them up. Iâve had them set up for two weeks now and they are excellent. The range of light colours and temperatures is amazing and they are responsive and fast. I can have warm white in the living room area and my husband has the dining area lights blue in the evening as they are so calming. Each light fitting has three bulbs and it is very easy to group each set to work as one. I much prefer them to hue and they donât need a separate hub. I have now brought more for other places in my home and they have been equally as easy to set up. Highly recommended by me.

Affordable Hue Alternative with Some Trade-offs
These color bulbs are a fantastic budget-friendly alternative to Hue for HomeKit users, and they’re great value. They provide good color range and brightness, making them a solid choice for general use. However, compared to Hue, they can be sluggish to respond and occasionally fail to execute commands or automations reliably (about 75% success rate). For basic smart lighting, they work well, but if youâre setting up a dedicated smart home or need seamless, dependable performance, itâs worth spending the extra money.

Update after a month… Homekit connection is very unreliable. None of them will respond to Homekit (connection through the Meross app and Google Home is fine). While I managed to get the malfunctioning fourth bulb to work, this lasted just a matter of weeks before it failed again, switching itself off due to overheating, and failing to respond to the reset procedure.If you don’t have use for Homekit and you don’t mind a high failure rate these are fine but I would not recommend.____________________________________Bought 4 of these smart bulbs (2 packs of 2) – 3 of them work great – set up on Homekit, Meross’s own app and Google home – really happy with them. I can connect the fourth, in exactly the same way as the others but after a few minutes the Meross app says it is unreachable and Homekit says that it is not responding. Have reset it (switch on and off 5 times) and have tried it in different locations (including locations where the other bulbs work) but this still keeps happening. 25% failure rate is disappointing… especially when the other three show how well this could work!
