Best USB/SATA adapter I’ve used so far…
I’ve upgraded to SSD and wanted to use my old 500GB HDD for backups etc. Bought this and it works great. It is a 5400RPM HDD but feels as fast as it was when plugged directly to SATA interface inside laptop.I’ve seen a few people confused about the two USB connectors. I’m not sure but it looks like the blue one with thicker cable is all you have to use no matter if connected to a USB 3.0 or 2.0 port. That is the connector that works and is compatible to both USB standards (and possibly USB 1.1, but I only tested with USB 3.0 and 2.0 as these are the only available ports on my two computers). The other connector is possibly only to be used when USB port has low power and cannot run the drive alone. At that point, connecting this to another USB port or possibly a power adopter might help run the drive (I’ve not tested so don’t try it on my words, contact manufacturer or a better technical resource to be sure).

Worked perfectly – my old laptop graphics card completely broke …
Worked perfectly – my old laptop graphics card completely broke and I had a lot of content on the hard drive. Took the hard drive out, plugged it in to this and then in to my new computer and I was able to access all of my files. As long as your hard drive isn’t corrupt, this will work a treat.

so was useful. NOTE that this was on Windows 10 computers …
Did NOT work with Samsung 850 EVO, tried it on 2 computers one with just USB 2.0 and one with USB 3.0 but Samsung Magician and the Cloning application don’t see the drive! Still worked using another free cloning application though, so was useful. NOTE that this was on Windows 10 computers and Samsung Magician is still not 100% compatible, therefore it may have just been a fault of the Samsung software and not the device.

It Worked Brilliantly … As Expected
Worked exactly as it should have done – so great news. Simplified a laptop swap to a Samsung SSD rather than the 5400rpm rotary rust disk.I used both the USB connections as I was using USB2 sockets – I assume using USB3 would just simplify the process. The Samsung Migration Magician software picked up the new SSD attached to this USB to SATA conversion lead, and everything worked seamlessly.

Es súper cómodo el acaparador conectas el cable a la propia conexión del disco duro y el USB al ordenador y a funcionar. Muy útil para discos de 2,5â ya que se alimentan directamente y con el acaparador no ocupan nada y si el disco es SSD mejor todavÃa.

En fait, suite à mon pc portable Toshiba qui avait rendu l’âme au bout de dix années de loyaux services, je ne savais pas si son disque dure interne était en cause ou non. Après l’avoir retiré facilement du PC, j’ai voulu le tester avec une station d’accueil USB pour disque dure Sata 3.5 et 2.5 que j’avais acheté sur Internet. Mais à ma grande surprise mon disque dure ne rentrait pas dans le connecteur de l’appareil qui pourtant avait été étudié pour! C’est pour cette raison que j’ai dû acheter cet adaptateur pour savoir si mon disque dure était hs ou non , car il y avait à l’intérieur des dossiers et des programmes auxquels je tenais beaucoup. Bref, après connexion de mon disque dure avec cet adaptateur sur mon deuxième pc, j’ai eu le plaisir de voir qu’il marchait très bien!
