Using for time machine on M4 pro MacBook. All good. Does the job. I have no complaints at all. Recommend. Don’t need ssd speeds for backup. Noise level is whisper quiet. Very portable and it’s SanDisk. I trust them.

Doesnt work on 11
Windows 11 does not recognise when your plug in this hard drive. Does not appear in file manager. Seems from scandisks forum. They are aware of this but offer no real solution. Returned for refund. I do not recommend this product if your on Windows 11

I need an external drive with extra wrap protection, as I have dropped my old disk before, causing the needle to scratch it and resulting in the loss of all my data.Currently, I am using both of these drives: SanDisk (black), and the Lacie (orange one). I have found that SanDisk is much slower compared to the Lacie. It typically takes me 3-5 seconds to switch and load folders. When working in a busy agency, this waiting time for each folder switch can be quite annoying. Although I have considered swapping to this black cool design, given my need for better performance, I will not do so.

Prone to failure
I’ve owned several of these drives and, unfortunately, they have a habit of breaking after about a year. It happened with this one and it’s happened with its replacements. Essentially, the drive speeds end up plummeting and the drive is either very slow to connect to computers or won’t connect at all. Beware.

El disco duro se ve muy resistente y bastante bien sellado y protegido por la goma exterior. Yo cogi los 2Tb por 110â¬,que la verdad,no esta muy mal de precio,pero siendo HDD creo que deberÃa ser un poco mas barato. Otra cosa es que si lo empiezas a usar un rato empieza a calentarse bastante,entiendo que al estar tan protegido el calor que genera no disipa tan bien,pero si lo usas poco ( yo le estuve metiendo fotos durante media hora sin parar) no deberÃa de calentarse.

He tenido que avisar a mi informático para ponerlo en marcha, ya que por si solo no funcionaba con un portátil nuevo y Windows 11, además viene compartimentado, en lugar de llegar con los 2TB completos en una partición.Lo necesitaba urgentemente, de no ser asà lo habrÃa devuelto. Por lo demás el disco funciona perfectamente.

Als Berufsfotograf bin ich viel unterwegs und brauche eine Festplatte, die verlässlich ist, egal wo ich gerade arbeite. Die SanDisk PROFESSIONAL G-Drive ArmorATD 2 TB hat sich dabei als echter Fels in der Brandung erwiesen. Ich nutze sie als Backup direkt vor Ort, bevor ich später meine Bilder auf meiner SSD bearbeite.Diese Festplatte ist für mich sowas wie eine Lebensversicherung. Ich weiÃ, dass meine Daten auf der ArmorATD sicher aufgehoben sind, egal, wie stressig der Tag war. Es gibt einfach nichts Beruhigenderes, als nach einem langen Shooting zu wissen, dass alles doppelt und dreifach gesichert ist.Mit 2 TB Speicherplatz habe ich mehr als genug Platz für all meine RAW-Dateien, und ich muss mir keine Sorgen machen, dass mir der Speicherplatz ausgeht. AuÃerdem ist sie robust genug, um den Alltag im Fotobusiness ohne Probleme wegzustecken. Kein Schnickschnack, einfach eine solide Festplatte, die ihren Job zuverlässig erledigt.Für mich ist die G-Drive ArmorATD eine unkomplizierte, zuverlässige Lösung, die genau das tut, was sie soll: meine Daten sichern und mir den Rücken freihalten. Wenn du eine Festplatte suchst, die nicht viel Aufhebens macht, aber dafür bombenfest läuft, ist diese hier eine gute Wahl.
