Super easy & responsive
This door & window sensor works amazingly well with Home Assistant.I paird this up to my Pi running home assistant via a ZigBee conbee stick & it’s yet to let me done. It’s a really small sensor so perfect for hiding away on the side of a window or door frame. The double sticky tap on the back makes super quick the install & pairing up to your ZigBee hub is a breeze, it was found instantly on mine. It provides accurate results when opening and closing the door allowing for my automations to run flawlessly.Great value for money!

Its energy-efficient design ensures long-term use, making it a low-maintenance yet highly effective security solution.Overall, the Aqara Door and Window Sensor is a must-have for anyone looking to enhance their home security with a reliable, easy-to-install, and smart solution. Flawless integration with Apple HomeKit
The Aqara door and window contact sensors are a reliable and affordable solution for home security.I found them easy to install and configure and they worked straight of the bat with HomeKit. I have attached them to my front door as a security measure and it is great to receive instant notifications when the door is opened. At night time my Aqara camera – which serves as the hub – sounds an alarm upon opening the door. This has proven very useful on a few occasions. :-)For me the compact design and long battery life make them a practical choice. However, there seems to be a range limitation which might be a drawback in larger homes or buildings. This could be solved by adding an additional hub I suppose.Overall, the Aqara contact sensors offer great value for money and peace of mind. Will definitely purchase more!

Small and integrates very well
On a mission to replace all of my Z Wave sensors and controllers in my home assistant installation. On my doors I previously had the sensitive Z wave strips which were extremely slim line and worked very robustly and very consistently. Was a bit worried that these items were going to be a bit too chunky and large when sitting on the exterior of the door, but actually they sit there quite nicely and after a day or two you don’t really notice them.Respond extremely quickly actually much quicker than the sensitive Z wave strips.I now have quite a few Aqua components in my home assistant instal and they all work extremely well never had any dramas.Recommended A+

Great, when it works
Could be location, could be interference but when itâs working itâs quick and effective. Mine just seems to drop off every now and then, repairing takes ages and is really tricky. If youâre happy with tech you can live with it, but for a non-tech it would be a pain.Size, function and quality all seem top notch. Mine is paired with a Samsung SmartThings hub, no Aquara hub needed.

Excellent and far smaller than I expected
This is just a small part of my home security. I ordered it mainly due to the cost but was shocked when it arrived just how small it was. Installation was simple, just peel the plastic off the sticky foam and pop it on your door/window. The distance between the sensors doesn’t have to be particularly small and in fact one side of the sensor is about 90 degrees to the other, so it seems really easy to get right even if your door is a bit funny shaped. It’s also lightning quick to notify you. In the Aqara app you can set it to notify you when the door opens (perfect when you’re away from home, which is my use case) and within 1-2 seconds of opening the door my phone will notify me.I’ve got this working with a few other Aqara products through their E2 hub and I’m impressed. Good products, well priced and a clean app experience.

Small, reliable, and effective.
â I didnât get this sensor to become immersed in the Aqara system and instead wished to pair it with my Home Assistant system. I must say that it works brilliantly and first time. I was replacing an existing sensor from another company, and after my experience so far, I will be switching to using these sensors in the future. I can confirm that you absolutely do not need an Aqara hub for this to work, although it does require a hub of some sort and a Zigbee coordinator.â The sensor is small with rounded corners and comes complete with sticky pads for surface mounting. The magnet is small but effective, and I think that the aesthetics are more pleasing than the boxier offerings of the competition. There are two very small notches in the plastic for alignment purposes, which is handy. The only confusing part is that the sensor also has internal temperature available. This is not the ambient temperature, and I am unsure why it is relevant to surface this metric.â Since installation, I have had no problems, no dropouts, or the need to re-pair it. I changed its name in Home Assistant to something more appropriate without any problem at all. I am happy to bin the old sensor for this one and will be buying more in the future. Well recommended.
