Capable and affordable
Used on swollen foot, twice a day in freezer format. Flexible fit takes a bit of learning to perfect, but the worse a swelling is, the more relief is obtained. Appears t be higher quality than expected at the price, materials and mating of different materials, including a useful Velcro belt-wrap, exceptional. Recommended.

Good value hot/cold pack with generous belt
Handy pack, you do get two gel packs with this which are both hot/cold (rather than one of each). Strap is a good size, I’m a UK 20-22 and all belly and it fits with some stretch left. Takes a while longer to heat up in the microwave than it says it does (and it’s an 800w) but I do it in bursts and squish the gel around to prevent hot spots. It’s a comfortable temperature in about a minute.Nice and colourful which makes a change from the black or “nude” you usually find. For £10 I would definitely buy again. The only downside is it says you can’t keep the pack in the freezer, but for the price I might sacrifice one to science!

pro’swork well to relieve pain.Harness/pouch is simply but effective meaning the pads are easier to useHold heat well.Con’sSplit and leak after a short period. Less than 2 weeks. (like all these pads)suggested heating times need increasing to provide any meaningful relief.I’ve tried a few of these looking for better durability and all fail fairly quickly with heavy use. They also require longer in a microwave than the instructions detail.My conclusion is that they only provide relief when heating to higher levels than they are manufactured to…….. Arguably making them unfit for purpose.

Easy to use
The belt keeps the pack in place.I used it cold on a sprained ankle and it gave quick relief.I have wheat bags but recently got rid of microwave so these are great for heating / cooling pads

Helpful for back pain
Found the pads themselves to be very good. Heat up quickly in the microwave (experiment with timings as recommended ones arenât great) and after a little massage to distribute the warm gel, the heat lasts a surprisingly good amount of time.Using them cold works well too. Recommendation is for max 1hr in the freezer but if you forget and leave them longer they still remain pliable.Supplied belt/pouch is great to keep the pads in place with a thick elastic strap that secures with Velcro. Would be handy to have the option of sizing though as find the belt can become quite uncomfortable when stretched too far. For the price this is a handy gadget to help with minor back pains and is better than disposable patches that arenât recyclable
