Brilliant, good quality for almost every doorbell
This is a great hardwire set for a Ring Doorbell. It works well, does the job, extremely easy to set up and use, it’s reliable never cutting off, good design very much neat & modern.

    Excellent within limits
You need to understand that this is a battery charger rather than a mains power supply. You’ll still drain the battery if you ramp up the features on the Ring doorbell itself if you have a lot of traffic. After trying many scenarios, the biggest one to avoid is having HD recording set. Mine dropped from 100% to 87% after a few visits and could not recharge back to 100% until I shut HD off again. The motion sensor set to Frequent and Snapshot set to every 5 minutes don’t cause an issue.Easy install although not impressed with the cable clips supplied, I used my own. Charger stays cool enough and is silent. Price is so competitive that I can’t see why you’d buy a dodgy no-name cheapo charger instead.

    It Works!
I had owned a battery operated Ring 1st Generation doorbell for over two years and as we are on a busy street have been charging it literally every 5 days even after altering settings..Recently there had been an issue with recordings only capturing 10 seconds of footage no matter what video length settings I adjusted.. Checked internet and there are many reports of similar problems of the 10 second recordings…Contacted Ring support and long story short they could not fix the problem after hours on the phone..Received a Ring 2 (2020 version) in the last week and set it up and I must say it is has a far superior image quality of 1080p HD and thankfully the recording length settings all work fine on this device…I had previously purchased a non branded transformer on a certain web site to try and hardwire my Ring 1 doorbell but that did not work from the moment I installed it.Thought I would try this original Ring hardwire transformer and received it 48 hours ago and after fully charging the Ring 2 doorbell connected it in seconds and it immediately recognised it as being “hardwired” on the Ring app. There has been dozens of motion recordings over the last 48 hours and I am absolutely amazed that on just checking the battery indicator it is still showing 100% !!!… If this transformer maintains this or even if it would stay at 80% and save me having to dismantle and recharge the doorbell every few days would be amazing.. Time will tell and I will update this review in time and see how things are then, but this is one of the best purchases I have made in a long time, what a time saver this could turn out to be…….***UPDATE***After 3 days of use/hardwiring the battery charge indicator on the Ring 2 2020 doorbell has now disappointingly dropped to 73%. I have now disconnected the doorbell, brought it indoors and still have it hardwired with the device face down on a table so no motion whatsoever will be detected and have “disarmed” the setting in the app, I will leave it hardwired for 24 hours and see if the percentage increases to show it is actually receiving a trickle charge.I feel disappointed after the initial expectations and if still showing at 73% charge in 24 hours time it is obviously not charging the doorbell despite the Ring app showing it is “hardwired” with lightning bolt through the green charge indicator and a white circular constant light at the front of the Ring doorbell.I will be returning this Ring transformer if not providing a charge.. Will update in 24 hours…******OK, so 16 hours later have checked the app device health and am pleased to say it is still showing as hardwired and is now showing a 100% charge so I am happy that this transformer is trickle charging the battery so will replace the doorbell in the knowledge that it will charge it back to 100%… may need to tweek motion settings as we face a busy street and hence why the battery may have dropped so much in a few days..Yes… would recommend this transformer, it does work!!!!!…Update 27.11.21..having used this transformer everyday for the last two months with one minute recordings of probably 100 recordings per day I have never had to recharge the doorbell via the indoor charger.. the hardwired device readings are always between 80 and 85 per cent each day so extremely happy with that considering the amount of daytime recordings our busy street captures..trickle charge overnight during quiet period seems to restore to a good percentage….a good purchase..

    Nice charger with good length.
This power supply works as intended, specifically for powering my Ring siren. I bought it for added reliability, even though I already had another power source. Some online reviews caused concern about identifying the negative wire, but the manual clearly indicates the negative wire has a ridge, making it easy to distinguish. I marked the negative wire with black heat shrink tubing. To pass the wires through the grommet, I made a small slit on the inside, simplifying the process. The entire installation, including pairing the device, took about 35 minutes

    Works on Tapo D235
Works on a Tapo D235. My only concern is how thin the wires are, they seem very fragile but time will tell. This doesn’t charge your doorbell cam but the battery hasn’t dropped any from the 87% it was at when I fitted it. Will update if anything changes.

Silent and stays cool easy to wire up
This unit unlike all the cheaper alternatives is silent and stays cold. After reading reviews on all the cheaper transformers about being so noisy that folk unplugged them, i decided that buying the original official Ring power supply unit was a ‘no brainer’ and the best, safest way to go. It has been specifically designed for use with their own ring doorbells and camera gear so obviously they are matched much better to their equipment than the cheaper generic versions. It is literally totally silent. It comes with 10 cable clips that match the wire thickness which are hard to find in hardware stores (20 would have been much better) , the screws that come with the clips are quite heavy duty and bulky and have a long size (1”) too long for fitting to skirting boards in my opinion so i replaced all the original clip bolts with small 1/2” self tapping screws that were far less visible to the eye (in photo), i predrilled tiny primer holes to avoid splitting the skirting board wood as i positioned all mine along the bottom edge of the skirting along the carpet line. The wiring of Doorbell cameras is simple as it does not matter which way round the cables are connected from the AC adapter, but apparently they do have to be strictly correct polarity for chimes and other Ring hardware (but not ring doorbells) , a ridge on one of the wires signifies a certain polarity for those scenarios but for my ring doorbell 4 camera it didnt matter so i just fitted then how i felt fit.Everything shows as ‘hardwired’ in the app and all is functioning absolutely perfectly. Love it! i would recommend this AC power supply to anyone using Ring products because it is silent and has the correct electrical rating for the matched Ring equipment. Its might cost £10 more a at £22 but its worth the extra for piece of mind and silence safe operating👍5 stars im giving this as i cannot really find fault in anyway tbh

So easy! Plug in and forget about it
So much better! Can’t tell you how many times its slipped my mind to charge our ring camera. So when it finally gave up the ghost we got a new one with a plug in adapter. No need to mess with our electrics just plug in, so easy. Its been spot on ever since!

My husband is very satisfied with it and that’s all I need to know, as I have no knowledge about such things :)He searched for a good one in 4 different stores before ordering this one, so I think it might be good quality.
