Customers say

Customers find the PIR sensor switch works well, particularly with kitchen floor plinth lighting, and is easy to install. The device fits well in plinths, is well-made, and has a good appearance. While some customers consider it great value for money, others find it expensive. The motion detection receives mixed feedback, with one customer noting inconsistent triggering.

Works great in walk in wardrobes.
These are working great, Fitted to work in 2 x walk in wardrobes.Fitted before the transformers for the LED strip lights & does what they were intended. The sensor is nice & small. as long as you follow the ideal fitting instructions they work fine.I had one set working perfect & the other not so good until I realised that the sensor was rotated in the correct position.Having turned it, it now works fine. You can certainly find the identical product cheaper if you look. just as long as you are able to wait for slower delivery.

    Its Pretty Good
So this item is fine, as does look really good onced installed properly. The motion detection is average, which for what it is, is exactly as expected.Sometimes (quite rare) it gets ‘stuck’ on, and needs a good few minutes to reset itself. Then it works fine again. But all in all it works just fine. I have it setup to control a light inside a cupboard with a sliding door.

I had three wardrobes in my flat with cheap mini PIR sensors that were faulty so the the lights would come on at random times, often switching on and off multiple times. I replaced all with the Leyton mini PIR and the problem has gone, these are working well to date and were straightforward to install. Don’t forget to link up to an LED driver if you are using it to switch LED lights (as I am)

    An excellent piece of kit
An excellent piece of kit. It is well made and the movement triggering is consistent. Care in positioning the sensor is required to reduce unnecessary triggering, by rotating the sensor to achieve the best response. The time on delay, is easily set from about 10 seconds to around three minutes. In summary, an excellent product.

    Three Stars
Worked but doesn’t seem very sensitive so sometimes the PIR doesn’t pick you up

    Nice
Works really well, it turns my lights on and off in the bathroom when somebody walks in, great at night in the ensuite as you don’t have to use your main light in the middle of the night

    BANG
It went Bang! Checked terminals and found that neutral input is directly connected to one output terminal. Nothing wrong with that, except that neither the unit nor the instructions mention that the output polarity is important. There are no markings on the unit output teminals.Edit.Company sent new unit. Thank you. Checked. The two central terminals are neutral and joined together. This may not matter if only one lamp connected, but linking to a circuit requires polarity outputs to be correct. Instructions have not been changed. So, my conclusion is that unit is good and the company is quick to help (although I wonder how many they have had to replace for want of a paper sticker). I will buy again the same unit from the same company.

Happy with this PIR as it fits into my plinth very nicely works well for the time at this time. The only thing that I was not happy with was it recommend a 20mm hole I ended up putting in a 22mm hole which I thought was better. Worked well for about 18 months but stays on all the time now will have to replace it.
