No microphone but good buy
I didn’t realise this didn’t have a microphone built in but it connects to a dell monitor perfectly and does the job (of making noise).

Discrete soundbar, but good enough to do the job
I bought this soundbar to fit onto my monitor. It has a clever magnetic connection and is very discrete. The sound quality is good enough for meetings, youtube, and music. If you are a true music fan, you may be disappointed, but for me, the size and reduced number of cables was a happy compromise I was willing to make.I would recommend the speaker.

Absolute Junk
I bought this for my new dell 27â monitor because i have the prior version of the monitor and the prior version of the soundbar and the old one is really great. This new one is total junk.First, itâs tiny, the old one was small but this is tiny so thereâs only tiny laptop speakers inside and they sound terrible. So tinny and no bass at all. Itâs like listening to a tin can.Iâve stopped using this speaker and just use the laptop speakers now – better quality audio by far on the laptop and louder too.Total junk. Donât waste your money.

Ignore the pictures!
The model in the photos is the Dell SB522A which is a microphone enabled speaker. The version you will be sent is the SB521A, as per product title, which is a speaker only model.When using DP or HDMI input you also need to run a USB from your desktop or laptop to transfer the audio. All in all a bit of a pain and no microphone.Speaker is of decent quality for its size but it’s an office speaker and not an entertainment speaker. Bear this in mind when purchasing.

Pretty poor sound
I wasn’t expecting it to rival my Bose speaker, but at £40, I was hoping for much better. The sound is okay for Windows alerts and barely passes for video calls -with some voices my laptop speakers are better. It looks good and low profile, but the audio is frankly dreadful for the price. You’ve got to really want a well integrated speaker to go for this and frankly would be better off finding a monitor with speakers built in.

Worst speaker I have ever had
Ridiculously overpriced rubbish, hangs down a couple of inches from the back of your monitor, sounds like an ice cream van three miles away. Dell used to be a reliable class outfit so either this is fake or they have gone to the dogs.

It took longer to extract the soundbar from the packing than it did to fit it and plug in the USB connector.I didn’t expect hi-fi sound but it is definitely good enough and 100% met my expectations.I can highly recommend this if, like me, you have a Dell P2422H PC monitor.
