I like to use enterprise grade switches for my home network- the used ones are incredibly cheap for what they offer. Their form factor is larger than home equipment and they are not designed for wall mounting. This bracket solves the problem. The quality is good enough to securely hold a 1U switch or any other similarly sized equipment. The weight limit depends on the security of the install. And here comes the weakness- the main mounting points don’t match the standard 16″ stud bays.

I mounted this to a stud in a small network corner for a patch panel and a small switch. The vertical setup is nice when you do not have room for a full rack, and the foldable design helped during wiring because I could get access without wrestling in tight space. Steel feels strong, and the holes lined up with standard hardware without weird drilling.Installation is not hard, but do it right. Find stud, use solid screws, and do not hang heavy gear on drywall anchors like a gambler. For lighter network equipment, it held steady and did not twist. Cable management is on you, but the layout makes it easier to route clean.Itâs a practical piece of kit for small setups. Not fancy, just functional, and sometimes that is the dream.
