    Excellent Value For Money
This lens hood set was bought for a Nikon 35mm 1.8G ED full frame lens with 58mm thread. First the collapsible rubber lens hood :- Study design, thickness of rubber was ample, screw on to lens with no problem. Easy to fully extend and fully collapse but near enough impossible for it to remain in the “mid” position. On my 35mm lens when the lens hood is fully extended there is a slight amount of vignetting in corners and as I could not set the lens hood to the mid position I would suggest the rubber lens hood to be only used on lenses longer than 35mm. Now the Petal Shaped Plastic Lens Hood :- Solid nifty design. Has 2 components to it, the first is a adaptor ring that screws into the end of the lens or lens filter and remains on the lens all the time. This adaptor piece has a small groove all the way round it’s circumference. The actual petal shaped lens hood has 4 tiny steel balls on the inside and these snap into position on the groove holding it in position but allowing it to rotate. When not in use you can just snap it out of the groove, reverse it so it is out of the way and then snap it back in so it is on your lens all the time if you wish. Very neat and tidy design. No problem with vignetting with petal shape hood on 35mm lens. On both the rubber and petal shaped hoods I had no issue with securing my original lens cap to either of them. Ordered item on Tuesday afternoon and received it Wednesday. Would highly recommend.

Lens hood and cap kit bargain.
This little kit has arrived today so just 1st impressions for now. If I find any problems over the next few months I’ll leave an update.
    What’s in the kit:
    1. Rubber lens hood which screws straight onto your lens/filter and has 3 positions depending on how much light you’re having to control. The rubber is thinner than a branded version but absolutely works fine and bounces back to circular if it happens to get a bit squashed.
    2. Hard petal type hood which is reversible for carrying/storage; the way this works is that the hood pops off a ring that screws into your lens/filter (see picture of tiny ballbearing mechanism of which there are 4 spaced evenly). Getting the hood on/off requires a simple push and has no ‘play’ once engaged.
    3. Lens cap with lanyard. Smooth mechanism although for some with larger fingers the design of the part one would ‘pinch’ does not have a lip under which one might place the fingertips for better purchase. The lanyard is fitted by inserting the thin, but strong, cable through a small hole in the cap. What looks like a sim card tool is supplied for this purpose. Fiddly but manageable and the metal tool does not damage the cable. The other end is an elasticated loop which is quite small (a good thing) that can either stretch over your lens or tied in the traditional method to the camera lug/strap.
    4. Fibre cloth which is about the size of something you might get from your optician. Always handy.
Overall the quality appears to be good and the item solidly made and for £7.99 (if you can get it with free postage – £9.49 otherwise) it’s something I have no problem recommending.
These items don’t effect optical quality so it’s not like buying a cheap filter. Bearing that in mind I don’t see any reason for buying branded goods that’ll cost anything up to 8x more (and that’s just for a hood!)

You get what you pay for
Pro. The rubber lens hood fitted the lens and uv filter
Cons. The reversal ring that holds the tulip hood only fits the lens and not the uv filter.
It’s plastic, but does the job

    Tulip hood fits Fuji 16-55mm.
So I got these because of the tulip hood, not the rubber one.
I tried other cheap ones and had issues with fitting it to my Fuji 16-55mm.
    This one fits perfectly, yay!
It look and feel cheap, probably because it is cheap:-) It’s really thick and bulky plastic stuff as you can see on photos.
I mean this camera even with grip doesn’t look and feel really big, but after adding this hood you go straight back to ’90s. You can compete with them huge SLRs who has bigger one, and you win!
Don’t get me wrong, bright side of it is – this is not only preventing flares etc. but also keep your glass save in case of accidental dropping or hitting against something.
Rubber hood… well it fits the diameter and thread as well. Due it’s made of cheap rubber it came a little bit out of shape. Would it affect photos? I don’t think so.
Didn’t really used it so far.
As it may be really difficult to get genuine hood for this lens this option is worth considering.

    Nice and simple lens hood
Adapter ring fits filter three, lens hood the clips onto adaptor ring, hood can be reversed for storage in bag.
This is a really nice and simple lens hood that really does the job well.
Reasonably good quality for the price.
Well worth buying if you want a good quality, well priced replacement for your branded lens hood.

Ottimo il prezzo rispetto all’originale e arrivano a casa ben 3 pezzi molto utili tutti.

On the previous DSLR that I had it came with both the tulip and rubber hood to use with different lenses. The tulip hood is used when using a wide angled lense. They way that its shaped actually helps to block light so as not to wash out the picture giving you the full wide angle view with no flare or glare. The rubber hood is used with a telephoto lense. This does the same thing that the tulip hood does for the telephoto lense but this one can be adjusted by pulling out on the hood. Macro shots the hood is completely collasped, for a wider shot with distance the hood is pulled out to the second position. Finally if using full telephoto, the lense is pulled completely out forming an almost funnel shape.. The one thing I like about the tulip hood is that you can attach it to your camera and while gently pulling away from the camera lens the hood will detach from the threaded collar. This allows you to store the hood in reverse on the camera. If you use the rubber hood you will have to take this collar off as it uses a different collar. Both seem to be well constructed but only time will tell as to how much use they can take before they fail. For now, this was a great purchase for my digital camera.

Prodotto ottimo. E gentilezza del produttore per avermi inviato un video per spiegarmi come togliere l’anello per la reversibilità del paraluce tulip.
