ALBEWE USB 3 to HDMI adapter for 2nd monitor (extended, not just mirrored)
Excellent quality product. Box came with instructions on how to locate the driver online and also a cd with the driver on it. Neither were needed as when I inserted the device into the standard USB 3 port, the driver exe popped up on the screen anyway. Once I’d followed the instructions for the brief set up procedure and rebooted, the third screen came to life. Lovely. The device also works via a 3rd party hub which means I can tuck it away behind the laptop and keep a USB 3 port free on the laptop itself. No complaints. Watch out for dodgy, cheaper imitations (read reviews).

Highly recommend, extended monitor
Works perfect with laptop USB output to display 2 extended screens (NOT just A mirror). Need to install program from CD or from their website. Easy to install and plug. Highly recommend

Very useful for the meeting room
I find connectors like this very useful at work, we get colleagues arriving regularly with various different laptops or tablets or phones which they would like to present from in our meeting room.
I’ve got a number of cables which allow people to connect via HDMI or Displayport and even mini Displayport but I didn’t have a USB-C option.
This adaptor now allows me to connect to the current HDMI cable attached to our large display screen and then connect via USB-C, which is thankfully becoming the norm now for a lot of tech. I say thankfully as I think its an excellent standard connection.
This adaptor feels very nicely made and comes in at a decent price, I couldn’t see any negative effect on the 1080P screen we use. I was unable to test its 4K performance.
One thing of note is that the packaging describes it as a USB-C to HDMI adaptor but on the sales page it says Thunderbolt 3 to HDMI. There is no logo on the adaptor itself so and I haven’t got a Mac to try it out (I believe Thunderbolt 3 is faster than USB-C) so I would query if it is indeed a Thunderbolt 3 adaptor.

No use for an iMac
I installed the driver on my iMac, ensured proper seating of cables and made several attempts to get this item functioning without success. I would have continued if I hadn’t received a warning pop-up from my iMac, informing me that the device was drawing too much power.
