Great card reader
Seems a well built product. Only used for SD cards, which have given a good transfer rate. Cable long enough to give flexibility when plugged into laptop, but not too long as to clutter desk.

Strong and dependable
This hub arrived very quickly and works exactly as described, connected to a laptop, tablet or phone. Itâs metallic, well built and easy to use. My only gripe is that the USB C socket seems to be only for charging and not data transfer when plugged into a mobile device. I was hoping to take photos off a memory card plugged into the hub and transferring them directly to an SSD drive. I donât think this is possible. The hub is still useful though.

Returned it as defective but re-ordered a replacement
I bought this yesterday. The USB C cable does not hold in either of my Samsung devices (phone an tablet). I have no such problem with any of my charging cables, so it is a defect with the male connector on this ACER device. For the relative price and brand, I expected it to be perfect, so I’ve reorded it today. The risk is that it’s the same batch. But I’ll update or revise this review in a day or so.EDIT: I obtained a replacement. Fits and works perfectly. A solid, well-made piece of kit.

More Space than you will ever need
Perfect to take out and about. I took it to America, with movies and music on. A must in my view

Incompatible with Neocore E2-S tablet.
Not compatible with my new Neocore E2-S tablet. I bought it to download photos from my Olympus camera.

HIgh quality card reader that did read/write operations on my card perfectly
This review is for ” Acer UHS-II USB C SD Card Reader with 100W PD Port, 3-in-1 Type-C SD 4.0 Memory Card Reader Adapter for MicroSD SDXC SDHC MMC RS-MMC UHS-II & UHS-I Cards for iPhone 15, Macbook, Tablet, Cameras (Pink).”I have been having trouble getting an old USB card reader to work on my laptop, but happily when I plugged this in to my W10 laptop and inserted my card it worked instantly. There was a reliable connection and I was finally able to read and delete files from the SD card that was inside my phone. It solved my problem with no hassle at all and worked perfectly. Its a small form factor, very well made, and has an extra feature of a PD charging port which is helpful too. Five stars rating. The price at the time of review was around £27 which is not cheap, but quality is worth paying a little extra for.

Handles two cards at once
This two-slot metal-cased device is a memory card reader using a chipset by Genesys Logic, Inc. (PID 0x0764 VID 0x05E3). This reader plugs into a USB-C port with a 7″ cable but will work in USB-A with an adapter (not included). It’s compact enough to tuck away in a camera bag or laptop bag (preferably in a pocket or it’ll disappear into the depths of the bag).It sets itself up as two drives (using two drive letters in Windows) which means both the SD card slot and the microSD card slot can be used simultaneously. These drives only appear when a card is inserted, though; if there’s no card, there’s no device letter and not even a “bong” from Windows to indicate that the reader’s plugged in.Note that the microSD card needs to go in label-side up and the SD card label-side-down. Something else to note is that the cards go a fair way in, so removing the microSD card is a fingernails job. The SD card slot supports the write-protect switch of the card and will not write to cards which have the switch set to read-only.Being a USB 3.0 device I was expecting decent performance, and indeed it did perform well, writing to two cards simultaneously at a combined 44.4 megabytes per second and reading at a combined 71.2 megabytes per second. It performs better doing one card at a time though, managing 50.7 megabytes per second write and 83.2 megabytes per second read. I’ve seen smaller devices using the Alcor chipset slow down drastically as they warm up, but that doesn’t appear to be the case here. The final feature to mention is the USB-C PD (Power Delivery) port, so you can charge through the same USB-C port you’ve got the interface plugged into. This PD port is power-only, so you can’t daisy-chain other devices through it; it’s power in, power out (e.g. charge your phone) or nothing. It doesn’t come with a USB-A to USB-C converter, but will happily work with one. Note that depending on how the converter is wired you may find that even if it’s a USB 3.0 converter (with the extra five pins) the adapter only runs in USB 2.0 mode. If it does, simply unplug the USB-C connector, flip it over and plug it back in.

Such a simple tool with big impact. I LOVE how much ease it offers to transfer photos from any type of sd card to my laptop or iPhone, but especially iPhone. When it comes to editing on the go, this is a must-have. Import your files and begin editing them in your photo apps of choice! There are basically no delays and this accessory can fit into the smallest of pockets.Great quality performance and build from a brand from a well-known tech company; you canât go wrong with this!________________Product review for ðSeller/Brand: Acer Store ⢠UHS-II USB C SD Card Reader with 100W PD Port, 3-in-1 Type-C SD 4.0 Memory Card Reader Adapter for MicroSD SDXC SDHC MMC RS-MMC UHS-II & UHS-I Cards for iPhone 15, Macbook, Tablet, Cameras (Pink)

I haven’t had the change to test this with UHS-II cards but with my UHS-I card it works great and the transfer speeds are noticeably faster then exporting from the camera directly even on UHS-I.

I used it for a Samsung galaxy tab active 5 tablet. The other readers we had did not recognize when I would remove or insert on my SD card. This one has the right chip set so that the tablet will recognize the card being removed and inserted without having to unplug the entire reader every time! I think I read another review saying itâs a Genesys Logic chipset.
