A handy little SD adaptor
This is a well made SD card adaptor from a well known brand. I was able to transfer several GB data back and forth without issues. It was also possible to use both the SD slot and Micro SD slot simultaneously.The housings are metal which give me more confidence in the build quality. This is a useful adaptor if you use SD cards and your computer doesn’t have the appropriate ports built in. With the card reader on a short lead it ensures that the adaptor does not obstruct other USB-C ports when in use.At just over £10, this is reasonably priced and works well.

There isn’t much to say about this item as its a sd card reader, hence I will keep this review concise.This SD card reader recognised and read all of the SD and micro SD I have which included both V30 and V60 sd cards. Unfortunately I do not own any higher speed V90 SD cards so I cannot comment on those. I was able to transfer files from my sd/micro sd cards on my Mac so have no complaints there.It isn’t really necessary to have the ability to read both full size SD and micro sd cards separately because all micro SD cards come with an SD card adapter. But I guess its a good feature to have incase you loose the micro SD card adapter that It came with!.I can recommend this its good value and a recognised brand being acer.

Great little card reader
Handy little SD card reader. Itâs very compact and can handle both SD and micro SD cards. Connectivity and transfer speed are perfectly adequate with no problems so far. USB C output is very useful these days and the cable length is good- short enough to keep it compact but long enough to manoeuvre depending on the device and ports youâre connecting to. Also feels nice and sturdy from a good brand.

This SD/microSD card reader from Acer is a quality little device as you would expect from such a well known brand. The aluminium housing and braided cable feel very robust.This device worked immediately in every device I tried it with – mac, PC and iPhone – with no need for any drivers, just plug and play.The headline 5Gbps transfer rate is a bit of hyperbole as Iâve not come across any SD/microSD card capable of anywhere near this speed. It does however at least mean you can be sure you are maxing out the capability of any card you put in this device.Priced at just over £10 (£12 with 15% voucher) at time of review, this is good value for a quality brand.

I have a camera with a USB card containing pictures. I normally upload the picture to my laptop, but my new laptop doesn’t have a port of this card. It was inexpensive and worked well to get my pictures. It worked without a problem and I didn’t have to do anything to get the picture but plug it in and open it in my file/ Normally, I have to open a program and select pictures I want.Â

Endlich habe ich den richtigen Adapter gefunden, nach zwei Fehlgriffen, Leider ist nicht immer in der Beschriebung ersichtlich , was das Gerät kann. Da ist vom Anbieter noch viel Luft nach oben. J

Bei dem Acer USB-C-Kartenleser handelt es sich um einen äuÃerst portablen USB-C-Kartenleser, welcher neben microSD-Speicherkarten auch SD-Karten lesen kann. Die Bus-Anbindung erfolgt via USB3.0, was für hohe Transferraten sorgen soll.In der Praxis zeigt sich der Kartenleser als praktischer kleiner Begleiter, welcher kaum gröÃer ausfällt, als eine Visitenkarte. Die Transferraten lagen durchweg mit microSD-Karten von Samsung und Transcend bei mindestens 80mb/s (entsprechende Class vorausgesetzt) und gingen deutlich flotter von statten, als meine vorherigen Kartenleser.Dank USB-C lässt sich der Kartenleser sowohl am Handy/Tablet, als auch am PC gleichermaÃen nutzen. Die Stromversorgung dieser Endgeräte genügt, um den Zugriff auf die Karten zu ermöglichen.Sowohl das kurze Kabel, als auch das Aluminiumgehäuse sind sehr gut ausgeführt und erwecken Vertrauen in die langfristige Stabilität. Bedenkt bitte, dass das USB-Kabelelement selbst fest mit dem Kartenleser verbunden ist und mit knapp ~12cm Länge kurz ausfällt. Bei späterem möglichen Kabelbruch, oder auch im Falle eines schwer zugängigen USB-Ports (an einem stationären PC z.B.) sind keine Ãnderungen am Kabel möglich.Die Preis/Leistung erachte ich hier mit knappen 10⬠sehr fair, so dass der Acer-Kartenleser von mir berechtigte 5/5 Sternen erhält.
