Works as intended –
Itâs a fan
Not much more to say, it works, it cools.
Mr. Steven Watson –
Great little cooler
This cooler works great with thr pi5, includes all the heat dissipation pads and is low profile enough that any hats I’ve tried don’t interfere with it.

Not as “official” as it likes to claim, buy a real one.
It may say “official” in the advert title but this is NOT a Raspberry Pi 5 active cooler. It looks quite a lot like it but it comes in a plain white box with a German address on it and a description written in French. The genuine one comes in a box about 1/4 the size that says “Raspberry Pi” all over it and has rpi logos on it. This one looks quite similar apart from a couple of bumps near where, on the genuine article, there is meant to be a raspberry pi logo. Side by side picutres attached so you can see the difference. In the box you get the cooler itself, a pair of plastic “legs” that make it fit to the rpi5, and 3 silicone pads, loose in a bag inside the box, each of which has a sheet of clear plastic on both sides that needs to be removed before use. These pads are all of different sizes and thicknesses and you are left to guess which of the 4 chips on the rpi5 that they are meant to go onto – get them wrong and the cooler wobbles and even when they are all correct – I think! – they still don’t seem to be very level. The 4th chip is just left to cook, pick a chip, any chip! The genuine cooler has *4* similar silicone pads but they are already attached to the base of the cooler in the correct places to line up with the chips on the board and have a single peel-off strip covering them all that needs to be removed before attaching. The plastic legs are also already pre-inserted into the heatsink rather than being in a separate bag.On top of all that, it went pop after two days and the rpi5 was no longer able to detect a fan present nor did it attempt to spin it up on power on.Lastly the real thing is £4.50 and this one is nearly double that.

Product title implies itâs an official Raspberry PI heatsink â it’s not
This is not an official Raspberry Pi heatsink. It is not in the usual box, heat pads are not fitted etc. To make matters worse is more expensive than the official one.

Es hält was es verspricht!
