works great lowered the temps by a few degree old pads was worn out from heat issues but these and new thermal paste saved the card

Basic solution can be fiddly to use
Does the job but a relatively expensive solution. Very basic, the various sizes are all stuck together so for anyone not familiar it would be easy to make a mistake.The protective skins have no tags to pull off, but on a positive note these can be easily cut to size with sharp scissors.My GPU runs hotter with these than with paste, but still OK.

So I’m using it to help cool a plug used for a mini fridge. The original tempature of it was around 58c to 60c. I had a old laptop heat thingy and I thought what if I stick that to the plug and use some thermal pads. The hottest I seen it get to now is around 48c. Like what I’m shicked. if I’m honest I got this more as a it might get it to maybe 55c if even but nope it shocks me how well it’s done the only thing holding it against the plug is some hair bands. But damm it works. Very cool.

My GPU uses both 1.5 mm and 1.0 mm thermal pads. I replaced the thermal paste and thermal pads, after which my GPU idle temps dropped by around 5 C. Iâm seeing similar (if not better) drops in load temperatures as well.Although a majority of this can be attributed to the thermal paste, one canât deny that these thermal pads also play a role in reducing temps.

I would not recommend this as an alternative to good thermal paste or thermal grizzly carbon thermal pad. The i3 pulled a max of 55 watts at 100% load so anything under could theoretically work fine.Pros:Keeps an i3-9400 under 90° at 100% load.There’s no mess when applying.Will probably work under normal loads.Cons:Will not keep cpus that pull more than 55 watts cool.Best suited for laptop cpus or low power cpus.Still a good product though.
